Totally love the lippie.

I feel that my wish has been granted as the holiday collections of various makeup brands are starting to pour in. I love, love cold weather makeup looks. They try to fight the pale cold with beautiful, stunning shades that definitely warms the eyes!

MAC Holiday Collections : He Said, She Said

“Red” She Said, and no one could resist her! M·A·C Holiday 2008 is a passionate pursuit of the Ultimate Red! Lips connive, then confess in shades from gilded plum to verge-of-vermillion. Hot colour, heated conversation, glorious gifts… Holiday Glamour was never this incendiary!

Dazzleglass and Beauty Powder Blush make a comeback for a limited time. Mineralize Eye Shadow goes from duo to trio: now a daring new ménage à trois, with two shades divided by a metallic “zipper” down the middle, for decadent dazzle. A tribute to all things passionate, “Red” She Said adds a dash of danger, a dose of erotic innuendo to the traditional holiday story. Experience it!

MAC Holiday Collections : Passions of Red

She-devil-sexy serpent-print embossed colour compacts to covet in five shades of passion – if passion is red, then red is passion. Bewitchingly bejewelled.

A Trip To The Dermatologist : What a Peeling!

A phone call from my dermatologist’s secretary caused me to go all euphoric yesterday. Ask me why? It’s because she said, “Hi, Ma’am Sophie, Dr. Marledi (Dizon) is asking if you’d like to have a free TCA peel?” I amusedly said, “oh a free TCA peel? wow! free? what time?”

Okay, so fastforward to today, as I was waiting for my turn, sitting patiently, as I overhear someone talking about Sensipeel on her mobile phone. Turns out, the lady I was sitting next to was Olga Apostol, who works with PCA Skin here, alongside Eileen Marcelo, product manager of the said brand. And yes, she was the one to demo on my skin!

Beauty-Filled Weekends : Project Beauty Workshops

Brigitte and I with our girls! ( Batch 1, afternoon class )

The first talk I’ve done was about mineral makeup, about a year ( or two ) ago at De La Salle University, for their LEAP ( Lasallian Enrichment Alternative Program). I talked about mineral makeup in two batches, with a morning and afternoon session, each session with around 40 people. I could never forget that day, because someone asked me, “Are you a makeup artist?”. That day ignited my fire for pursuing makeup artistry because I finally realized that this passion of mine was undeniable.

Fastforward about a year ( or two ) from that moment, here I am with my good friend/classmate Brigitte holding Project Beauty : A Makeup Workshop. Aside from our love for applying makeup, we also have this unexplainable love for teaching, since Brigitte’s past resume includes her being a professor ( yes! ) in a university, and well, way back during high school and college, I just loved doing presentations! Haha!

Beautynomics Review : Neutrogena Deep Clean Skincare

Aside from the “heavy” stuff that I have been using, namely Obagi Clenziderm, Glytone, and Mama Lotion, I also have some “light” skin care with me that I use when I want my skin to rest. Perhaps when I’m fresh from a diamond peeling session, or when my skin just needs something not too clinical as of the moment. The products I’ve tried lately are from Neutrogena, the brand that I’ve grown up with. I’ve used Deep Clean Facial Wash during highschool ( with that very generic packaging, with somewhat transparent dark tan fluid ) , and looking at it now, the brand’s really progressed, and even developed three new products - Neutrogena Deep Clean Energizing Foaming Cleanser, Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Ultra Foam Cleanser, and Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Dual Action Toner.

The Neutrogena Deep Clean Invigorating Ultra Foam Cleanser is what I’ve tried first. As I pumped product out of the bottle, it released a cleansing foam, and as I started lathering it on my face, I could feel my face getting really cool and calm. As I washed my face, the splash of minty coolness lingered. To add to that, it effectively got rid of the dirt on my face as I felt my skin to be very clean, but not overly dry or tight. I can say that this is for girls who have oily skin who would want to get rid of the feeling of oiliness, and dirt that has accumulated at the end of the day, and perhaps something to make them feel fresh during the morning - such a great wake me up, without the feeling of dryness! I absolutely love this!

Ponds Bags Beauty Awards, and Gives Ultimate Offerings!

Before I start my entry, let me share one story that my mom passed on to me. With having Ponds Age Miracle Day Creams here in the house, she and my sister are using them. One day, they both confess to me that they feel the need to stop because dad’s been always noticing them both, and you wouldn’t want to get noticed by your boss! Hahaha! But kidding aside, they’re both Ponds Age Miracle Day Cream lovers, and it’s a great thing to be using anti-aging products as something that you owe yourself.

In lieu of Pond’s Cosmo Awards win ( upon checking the issue, Ponds Age Miracle Day Cream won The Dream Cream Award, thanks for the tip Phoeb! ) , they are giving their Age Miracle loyalists a treat by having Ultimate Offerings. So what kind of “ultimate offerings?” Ok, let me make it clearer for you - Ponds is giving away some love, that as you buy one pot of Age Miracle Day Cream, you get another pot, absolutely free. Now, didn’t I just sense some people ready to stock up already? Hahaha! Would make the perfect stocking stuffer, wouldn’t it?

Dingdong Dantes For BeloShape

I just read this, and my jaw dropped,

Actor Dingdong Dantes was recently named one of the 25 Sexiest Men of the World by E! Entertainment Television. He is the only Filipino who made it to the list which included the world’s sexiest male celebrities such as soccer superstar David Beckham, rugby player Dan Carter of New Zealand, French actor Gilles Marini, actor-model Michael Lewis of Israel and singer Kostas Martakis of Greece.

Last year, Dingdong also became the highest paid underwear model and was voted as the No.1 Bachelor of 2007 of Cosmopolitan Magazine, landing on the cover of the special 69 hunks edition.

Whaaat? I mean WOW! Dingdong Dantes has come a long, long way, and I think now is definitely his time to shine! I’ve been following him because he’s currently the leading man of my idol and muse Marian Rivera, from Marimar to Dyesebel, which is currently being aired now on GMA7. Aside from that, he’s got numerous endorsements, and included are beauty products ( that’s such a new thing for guys, isn’t it? ) , such as Ponds, and well, BeloShape!

What’s New : NARS Super Orgasm Blush

Okay, if it’s not enough that the cult favorite, universally flattering peach blush NARS Orgasm has been winning over and over in various beauty magazines and Sephora Beauty Awards, it comes up with its lipgloss version, and nail lacquer version. Then, after the success of the two, NARS amps it up once more - with Super Orgasm.
