Fabulous Hair Day at Lourd Ramos’ Creations Salon

IMG_0024

three happy girls at the Creations Salon

It was a fun, fun Saturday, that I met up with Shen and Brigitte, whom I share my love for beauty ( how I love that we met via beauty blogging! ) with. As Shen had her hair rebonded at Lourd Ramos’ Creations Salon a day before, she was highly raving about the staff there, so with my hair color retouching sesh almost due, I decided to try their services that day, alongside Brigitte who was seeking a new cut for her hair. Creations Salon by Lourd Ramos is located at the 2nd floor of Glorietta 5, so we were Makati bound that day.

Lourd Ramos is one of the prominent names when it comes to makeup artistry. I remember him teaching before at ABA and wanted to study makeup there, and now, he is a brand ambassador for both Smashbox and Davines. Amazing. Now, with his salon, I’m expecting to come out looking like a movie star, just like his showbiz clients. Hahaha!

A Browhaus Experience

If there’s one feature in my face that I’m quite particular about, it must be my eyebrows. It’s the first feature I look at ( sorry! teehee ), and I think eyebrows just make or break your look.

Sept 2007. My virgin eyebrows!!!!

I remember my first ever blog event that I documented – looking at my eyebrows- que horror! All thick, and all over the place! When I realized that my brows were bad news, and ruined my entire look ( there is nothing worse than a good eye makeup, and good over all makeup look with ungroomed eyebrows ruining it! ), I started having them groomed by having periodic threading sessions from the salons I frequent.

Once I was given the chance to be educated on shaping my eyebrows thru makeup school, I quickly took the chance to apply it on myself, and eventually, I began shaping my own eyebrows. It’s been a while since I’ve been doing that, actually. But then, I kinda missed my brows being groomed by another. Haha!

My L’Oreal Professionel INOA Hair Coloring Experience

INOA

INOA. Hair color of the future.

When I used a D-I-Y permanent hair color for my hair just in time have my hair rebonded, I didn’t expect that one of my friends would say that I should have my hair dyed again since it lacked lustre. Salon Day : Hair Blessing Clinic Treatment at Tony and Jackey Salon

Yesterday was just fabulous. Me and mom had a major bonding day at the Tony & Jackey Salon. Yes, that’s the way girls bond! We are both overworked since last year that we sort of neglected our salon visits, and I’m just so happy, that finally, we had a day set aside for us to have our hair pampered again! Thank God that Tony & Jackey, the Korean salon that I so love, already has a branch in NS Amoranto which is near our home, we don’t have to travel elsewhere to get great hair pampering!

Now, for the hair treatments, Im revealing mine first.

Having exposed to Clobex, my anti-allergy scalp shampoo, my hair was stripped off color, revealing my premature gray hair ( yes, I got it from my dad ). I was opting for a hair rebonding treatment with hair manicure ( to cover my gray ), but the stylist assigned to me felt that my hair was very dry, so she recommended their latest service called Hair Blessing Rebonding. Now, what is Hair Blessing?

Beautynomics Review : Schwarzkopf ESSENSITY

First things first, I think that Schwarzkopf is one of those hard to pronounce brands out there, which is as tricky as pronouncing worcestershire. So, let me teach you first, as Evelyn Oblea of Schwarzkopf pronounced it – “schwarch-kof.” There! Perfect! Hahaha!

A few weeks ago, I was able to try Schwarzkopf’s latest treatment, the Schwarzkopf ESSENSITY. As I walked in David’s For Rever in Podium, I didn’t know what to expect, not until their senior stylist, and Schwarzkopf ESSENSITY ambassador for David salons stylist extraordinaire Inno greeted me, and more than enthusiastically share to me what it was all about.

Take a look at these tibdits, and see if it’d make your eyes pop out, because my eyes twinkled as was informed of what ESSENSITY was!

Singaporean Beauty Adventures : Pink Parlour

One confusing day ( confusing, in terms of whether it was sunny, or rainy, haha! ), Renee and I were given the chance to check out the services of Pink Parlour, located in Liang Court. Liang Court seems to be a good, quiet place that is full of establishments that have aesthetic services. My last visit there was at the Skinlab Medical Spa, and now, I was able to raid Pink Parlour, an award winning salon that boasts their signature Brazilian Wax and Princess Manicure and Pedicure service!

While still being a chicken, and having not enough courage to go bare down there, I opted for their signature Princess Pedicure. I settled in a comfortable couch, rested my feet on the sink, as their nail technicians started their magic on my toes. Hahaha!

First, I felt very comforting warm water relax my harassed feet. Walking has been my sport in Singapore, and the casualty is definitely my feet. I sighed in relief, as my feet was scrubbed using either sugar scrub or salt scrub ( they do have both ), moisturized, and pampered. After that, it’s pedicure time! With Havaianas as my everyday footwear ( no heels in this walkathon! ), having clean looking feet is a must ( despite the blisters, haha! ) Continue reading

Beauty Bloggers’ Day Out, and Getting Smitten With a Marimar ‘Do

I’m sorta late for reporting about my very fun weekend with my beauty blogger girlfriends, Phoebe and Sasha. When three beauty bloggers flock together, well, all I can say is that the major topic that are discussed are all about beauty, and fashion ( since I’m also getting tips from these two fashion savvy girls, oh, I need it, love them ). Topics discussed were boots, skirts, eye creams, shades, hair cuts, and oh, ALOT! It was so much fun spending the day with these girls, as we grabbed some lunch, got some coffee and had some chitchat, went to a meeting ( for a possible event, ) and last but not the least, spent our free remaining time shopping and being pampered in the salon ( oh, heaven! ).

Went to F Salon, the salon inside First Aid, in Greenbelt 3.

Some pictures,

As Phoebe and Sasha had their fabulous cuts, I had my eyebrows and upper lip threaded by Marissa. Boy, she made me cry, but did a great job nonetheless. I’d recommend getting your brows fixed by her anytime, because there are other salons that offer threading but don’t even do it well (bad experience, take it from me ) It was also very affordable, considering the location to be at Greenbelt 3, my bill was only 300 bucks.
