Elseve Nutri-Gloss, Amongst Other Haircare Thoughts!

During normal days, the normal majority ( yes, that’s me, included ! and maybe you! ) uses mass marketed hair care products that are found in groceries, drugstores, and your department store beauty section. One can’t help it - mass marketed brands are practical because of their price, and their quality aren’t bad actually, because of the highly competitive marketplace. Take a look at how Pantene and Sunsilk are competing with each other by improving formulation and adding beneficial ingredients at such a fast speed that the consumer themselves cannot keep track!

But once in a while, we seek something out of our daily routine, maybe something more luxurious.

Take for example, the hair story of my mom. Her hair is subject of every family member’s envy, specially her kids ( with us all girls ) because her hair texture is very fine, and her hair’s glossy black against our coarse, poofy hair, that whenever we have our hair rebonded, when we see our mom’s hair, we just go green with envy that she never had to undergo that stuff. Going back, she can use any shampoo, and prefers local shampoo as she finds imported shampoo too strong for her taste, that it gives her fine hair some hairfall.

Leyende’s Beach Bomb Fragrance Makes Me Smell Like Summer Forever

I’d be totally honest and tell you that rainy days are not my thing. I know how comforting it is to sleep under such chilly weather, but summer is just my favorite, favorite season of the year. As soon as Christmas is about done, my mind takes a fast forward drift as I consider February as summer!

Anyway, Leyede’s new fragrance, called Beach Bomb, fixes me in a trance that makes me feel like summer forever. Its fresh fragrance takes me my mind to the beach to savor the fresh, unforgettable breeze. Sigh.

Beautynomics Review : Clarins Summer Fever Sun Sheer Lipstick 15

From the latest Clarins Summer Fever Collection 2008, let me present to you my pick for the best product amongst the items in the collection - the Clarins Summer Fever Sun Sheer Lipsticks, with SPF 15.

At first look, these lipsticks look too small to be well, lipsticks. Standing a little bit above two inches, they pass for the word “cute” and are considered travel-friendly for their size. Let’s open them and see the shades!

Beautynomics Review : MAC Cosmetics New View Collection

The New View Collection is one of MAC Cosmetics‘ latest mineralized collections, together with Electroflash and Sonic Chic. Looks like mineralized or “baked” cosmetics are in right now! On my end, I was able to discover MAC Mineralized Skinfinish from the MAC workshops I’ve attended in lieu of my makeup studies. I’ve learned that it’s a very versatile product as it can serve as a light coverage powder foundation, a finishing powder for that soft focus finish, a highlighter when lighter shades are used, and a contour product for darker shades. It’s a fresh, and lighter ( less chances of breaking out as well ) from the MAC Studiofix. With the New View Collection, about 2/3 of the pan is matte Mineralized Skinfinish, and about 1/3 of the pan is shimmery in texture.

Makeup For Ever HD Microfinish Powder

The new hype of HD products just got me all intrigued. With the dawn of HDTV, even a small imperfection, fine lines, and even clumpy mascara could be seen. *Gasp, right?* on my end, I see HD makeup products as really photogenic ones that would turn out fantastic in photos even if they are beauty shots. Aside from the Cargo Bluray Foundation that I have been using for shoots, I was also able to try the Makeup For Ever HD Microfinish Powder as Jheng got a full tub of this - perfection is just the name of her game, as a makeup artist..

Beautynomics Review : MAC Charged Water

Charged water, fused with vital ions from a diamond and instilled with a spirit-lifting therapeutic aroma, then delivered to the skin in the soothing aura of a revitalizing hydrating mist. Like its source – a diamond – on application it makes the skin feel clear, sparkling, pure and energized. Its aroma, a blend of green tea and citrus.

Jheng was telling me how addicting the MAC Charged Water was as she just could not help but spritz it on her face during idle hours. I got intrigued as Zeldy of MAC spritzed this on Aiza Seguerra’s face as she evened out her liquid foundation application. So there, as I was on my weekly visit to the MAC counter at Glorietta, I grabbed a bottle for myself ( as the Fix+ was out of stock ), and took it home with me.

Beautynomics Review : Kiehls Lip Balm SPF 15

I could not forget how many rejoiced the moment Kiehls landed in our country, because of the cult favorite lip balms. Alot of people just swear by Kiehls, and even my bestbud loves using it specially the facial wash and moisturizers as it is fitting in cold weather, when she spends her vacation in Canada during the holidays. Well, of course, the curious me wanted to try out some Kiehls, and I decided to try the very much raved about product, which are their lipbalms.

Beautynomics Review : SkinCeuticals AOX Body Treatment

One Saturday afternoon, while my classmates and I were checking out bath and body products at the local beauty bar, someone recommended a nice lotion to me, and got the shock of her life when I said, “Oh, I don’t like lotions.” and even asked me to repeat it.

But honestly, I’m not a fan of lotions and I don’t like applying them first thing in the morning - I’d rather apply them during bedtime, but as I see my skin look dry and scaly, I would need a really intense and powerful lotion that would help bring my skin back to life. And I think I’ve found it - it’s the SkinCeuticals AOX Body Treatment.

Summer Showers Review : The Body Shop Moringa Bath Gel

Two words : SUPER HOT.

The heat has been just simply impossible lately. And I mean it! It’s been just unable to bear, and it’s humid, and it’s sticky! See, even I am getting cranky, just bleeeaaaaym et on the heat! Haha!

The shower in the bathroom just seems to be so appealing everytime I wake up, and everytime I come home from work. I think I’d like to live there, thank you very much!

Anyway, another great body wash that I’ve tried lately is the freebie I got from the Lipton’s Feel Good Event, which is a bottle of The Body Shop Moringa Bath Gel.

For some information about “moringa,”

First used in Ayurvedic medicine some 4,000 years ago, moringa seed oil comes from the moringa tree which is also known as the ‘miracle tree’ due to its wide variety of beneficial uses.

Moringa seed oil was highly treasured by the ancient Roman, Greek and Egyptian civilisations for its use in protecting skin and making perfume. The oil contains high levels of oleic acid, a fatty acid that helps to restore the skin’s moisture levels, helping to protect against drying, keeping skin feeling soft and smooth.

My Revelation About REVALÉSKIN

REVALÉSKIN, with its revolutionary ingredient Coffeeberry, must be the next big thing in the anti-aging skin care niche, as it earns raves from top dermatologists all over the world, calling it “one of the most promising new antioxidants that came along in years”, and beauty editors calling it the “new fountain of youth.”

For some facts about Coffeeberry,
