Fragrance Frenzy : DNKY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Pop Art

Summer, summer, summer. It’s my favorite time of the year, though it has come a little bit too early this time. It’s been inconsiderably warm lately, and definitely requires alot of effort to stay fresh! One way to stay fresh? Summer scents.

Define summer scents.

Summer scents are fragrances that are delicate, light, and are screaming fresh! Summer scents compliment the warm weather, and are usually floral, or citrus, that are in no way heavy. Summer scents help you beat the heat with a burst of freshness that they offer, keeping you fragrant and in sync with the weather, with good vibes trailing you for the entire day.

Say hello to my new summer scent, DKNY Fresh Blossom.

“A blend of sparkling grapefruit, cassis, and sunkissed apricot meets a blooming floral heart of muguet and rose wrapped in luminous jasmine. A signature base of juicy apple completes this fresh and playful experience.”

Beautynomics Review : Avon Smooth Mineral Eyeshadow

I must admit that I only keep a small collection of eyeshadows. I don’t like collecting too much - I think I’m more obsessed with a flawless canvass, and recently, beautiful cheeks. But of course, staple shades would always be on my vanity table. I’m a schizo when it comes to eyeshadows - sometimes I want them soft focus, and feminine, but sometimes I want them ultra pigmented, that gives instant color at first swipe. What I don’t like? Color that’s too diluted, texture too powdery, or color just won’t show up no matter how much you pack colors on your lids.

With my recent love for playing and experimenting with eyeshadows, I have tried Avon Smooth Mineral Eyeshadow.

Superfine powder pigments blend like a dream. Use one or layer, go sheer or smoky. Whisper-soft, air-light. Natural radiance, pure luxury.

Loose eyeshadow. Using loose mineral eyeshadows must entail a very careful application, for once powder falls on unwanted places ( like your undereyes ) , they are very hard to remove. A generous dusting of loose powder under the eyes is most recommended prior to playing with loose mineral eyeshadows. Let the excess powder fall of there. Sweep them away later.

Beautynomics Review: MAC Cosmetics Riveting Collection

The MAC Cosmetics Riveting Collection is a collection full of bold, bold shades that reminds me of rock n’ roll glam. One thing’s for sure - the shades showcased here are not the ordinary everyday shades!

Beautynomics Review : Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Lipstick in Sheer Berry

* I shall be resuming my review of the MAC Collections next week, as I am not yet done fixing the files. haha! *

One of the good budget brands that I patronize is Avon. Avon products are insanely affordable, and yet, they deliver results. Heck, my mom even made me promise to give her Avon lipsticks for she claims that Avon lipsticks last long - there are some tubes that are still smelling fragrant and nice after four years, and she’s been wanting that cake foundation forever. My mom can be really cute. Haha!

Anyway, for my readers asking for good budget buys, I highly recommend Avon, specially their lipsticks. With that, here’s a good recommendation for an Avon lipstick - Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Lipstick in Sheer Berry.

Beautynomics Lookbook : MAC Viva Glam Lady Gaga Lipstick

Gaga. Enough said.

Oh, doesnt the MAC Viva Glam Lady Gaga Lipstick look beautiful?

Blue-toned pale pink. One of the most gorgeous nude pinks that I’ve ever seen. Pink nudes are just a sassier variety of the nude lipsticks that go on like pale peach. This one’s perfect for a smoky eye, or heavy eye makeup, but this doesn’t mean that it tones down the entire look. It fails to give way to attention to the eye makeup - it actually earns a second look because of the lips!

Okay, for Beautynomics readers who have requested for looks? I’ve been trying to play with my camera, and I will continue to be doing so. So bear with me , thru thick and thin, the images you are about to see. Haha!

MAC Spring Colour Forecast 3 : Plum and Burgundy

With my third installment of the MAC Spring Colour Forecast, I give you plum and burgundy shades!

Looking at the picture, do you see something different? Look closer, look closer.

Okay, MAC has a totally revamped eyeshadow quad packaging! The new eyeshadow quad looks very sleek compared to the old one, but the old one, with its textured plastic is actually mess-free, as compared to the new eyeshadow quad packaging. Nonetheless, I’m still after the color payoff of the quads.

On to my review,

MAC Spring Colour Forecast 2: Corals

For my second installment of MAC’s Spring Colour Forecast Collection, we have the corals. I must admit that I’m not into corals if you stick true to that shade, but if you mention peaches, I’m in. I love except nude peach lipsticks and peach blushes. If you say the word “coral,” it’s a warm color that’s almost orange - and I remember Elle Woods saying, “Whoever said orange was the new pink, is seriously demented.” ( I was laughing all the time while watching that, I swear! )

Anyway, this collection is full of wearable shades, that killed my coral scare. It was actually a beautiful lineup of shades!

MAC Spring Colour Forecast 1 : Pinks and Lavenders

Oh, I could only remember last year’s MAC Spring Collection - it was the Hello Kitty Collection. I was in Singapore then, and there were pre-buys ( yes, in MAC! ) and day 1 was so chaotic that I almost didn’t get my MAC Hello Kitty doll. This year, MAC wows us tremendously by coming up with a HUGE Spring Collection.

MAC plays with so much spring colors that I got dizzy - there’s Spring Colour Forecast 1 that is inspired by pinks and lavenders, Spring Colour Forecast 2 that plays with coral shades, Spring Colour Forecast 3 with plum and burgundy, and Spring Colour Forecast 4 with warm yellows and golds. How wonderful. And I thought that spring was only about pastel. Haha!

I’m going to start my notes about the MAC Spring Colour Forecast Collection with numero uno.

Beautynomics Review : Schwarzkopf ESSENSITY Brushing Elixir

The Schwarzkopf ESSENSITY line is simply nose-candy. Why nose-candy? It doesn’t smell like candy ( that’s for sure! ) but it is definitely a treat as you’d definitely love smelling your hair, and the products all day long because of its nose-friendly scents of nature.

One of my favorite products from the ESSENSITY line is their Brushing Elixir. It’s a daily rinse-off conditioner for dry and coarse hair, enriched with Vitamins A, B, and C. It also contains freeze-dried organic essences of aloe vera that helps nourish the hair. With no chemicals and parabens in this formulation, this wins me over, much, much more.

Beautynomics Review : Avon Smooth Mineral Foundation

Nowadays, with every product having the word “natural”, “organic”, “preservative-free” being the entice-factor to every person’s shopping decision, mineral makeup is the choice for the health conscious women ( and men ) out there.

I’ve been obsessed with mineral makeup, and made the switch almost the same time as I started my blog. If you ask me if I still use traditional makeup - I say yes, but it stays less than 24 hours on my face. And I use it sparingly. Mineral makeup will be my ultimate choice for everyday makeup, and even makeup for special occasions. Mineral makeup is the only kind of makeup that my skin feels home to. Alot of women ( and men, for that matter ) are starting to embrace and make the switch to mineral makeup, for mineral makeup does not clog pores and does not aggravate acne. In other words, mineral makeup is makeup that gives you no headache.

Say hello to Avon Smooth Mineral Foundation, Avon’s answer to the needs of women today, with its version of mineral makeup.

Looking at it overall, it’s packed in such a cute way that there’s already a kabuki brush that you can just use to apply your mineral foundation with. Nice, huh? It is actually a steal already for P 499.00, with a mineral foundation , and makeup brush in one!

When it launched in the Philippines just this February, it introduced two shades, a lighter shade called Almond, and a darker one called Buff.
