This fall, NARS Cosmetics introduces two very useful palettes, and they are coupled with a new packaging – a compact NARS-logo zippered case. Very cute, isn’t it? I personally think that they know how to play with their very versatile logo and work around with modern packaging while retaining its timelessness and the iconic vibe.
The new palettes, wonderfully named Beautiful Life, and Only You ( sounds like these names came from the movies! ), include two signature NARS cheek products chosen to complement the lips or eyes – whether deep or sultry, or light and fresh.

Just seeing Mega Magazine’s August cover makes me smile. The four girls, namely Celine Lopez, Apples Aberin, Patty Betita, and Rissa Mananquil were hailed as Fashion’s Finest, and Beauty’s Best by Pond’s, and now grace the cover of Mega Magazine, that was shot on location at the Pond’s Institute in Shanghai, China.
What makes me smile more, are these lovely ladies wearing the red dresses from Plains and Prints, that I’ve purchased last month. Last month, Pond’s and Plains and Prints have tied up to bring you a collection of beautiful, and ultra-feminine white and red dresses that syncs with Pond’s Age Miracle Line. I myself got in a buying frenzy, and got myself the Apples dress ( as worn by Patty Petita in the Mega Cover ), the Rissa dress ( that was worn by Rissa as well – thanks Jheng, for being on the lookout and getting this for me! ) and not in the cover, I also got myself a Divine dress, and I could really say that the three dresses I bought are such investment pieces. Yes, for the Filipino-Chinese, reds are definitely keepers, as they’re the default color-to-wear for birthdays, as red means good luck, and signifies power and prosperity. Yes, red is a lucky color, and I’m going to keep myself lucky this year and beyond! Haha! I might be wearing them by next year, but with the designs being timeless, I really don’t mind. Last Sunday, I read the papers, and I’ve seen a huge ad, with an unbranded, unnamed shampoo bottle with a big question mark in it, calling it the Mystery Shampoo. I swear, mass brands like these are so competitive nowadays, investing heavily in R&D, bringing the best products in the market, coupled with competitive prices as well. Who benefits? Definitely the consumer. It makes us somehow give these brands a chance rather than going for the more expensive brands.

Some say that present problems sometimes arise, as a result of something done, or not done from their childhood.
In my case, it’s my slouching since I was little that triggered my condition now. Mothers out there, please do take time to fix your kids’ posture, even if they don’t like the idea! I believe I was a stubborn kid!
Lately, I’ve been experiencing extreme back pain. My lower back has been plastered with a Chinese, and more potent version of Salompas for days already, and I’ve been under medication. With some kind of desperation, a good friend advised me to try The Miracle Ball Method. I searched it up, and good thing good friend’s good friend Janis has some of these on stock, that I immediately purchased them to try.

Just this year, I was acquainted with two brands of Dead Sea Skin Care brands that were launched here – Mineral Flowers and AHAVA. But tell you what – it doesn’t end there. We have another brand to look into – Jericho, by Paloma Dead Sea Ltd.
Paloma Dead Sea was the first company that was established offering Dead Sea skin care products, as early as 1982. Imagine that, it took us so long to catch the wave of the dead sea skin care craze! The miraculous and healing waters of the Dead Sea in Israel is now within our reach with these products in the market, as we do not have to take the trip there to experience it. That’s more like it!
With this, I was able to try two products by Jericho, and I shall tell you how they fared on me :
