I have my mom to be thankful for my being such a beauty lover. She owned a salon when I was a little kid, and with her being my ultimate inspiration, I wanted to be like her one day, and thus, fast forward to the present day, I make it a point to shower her with so much cosmetics, and beauty products that she doesn’t even need to buy them ( well, just the occasional body wash products that she’s crazy about! )

One confusing day ( confusing, in terms of whether it was sunny, or rainy, haha! ), Renee and I were given the chance to check out the services of Pink Parlour, located in Liang Court. Liang Court seems to be a good, quiet place that is full of establishments that have aesthetic services. My last visit there was at the Skinlab Medical Spa, and now, I was able to raid Pink Parlour, an award winning salon that boasts their signature Brazilian Wax and Princess Manicure and Pedicure service!

While still being a chicken, and having not enough courage to go bare down there, I opted for their signature Princess Pedicure. I settled in a comfortable couch, rested my feet on the sink, as their nail technicians started their magic on my toes. Hahaha!

First, I felt very comforting warm water relax my harassed feet. Walking has been my sport in Singapore, and the casualty is definitely my feet. I sighed in relief, as my feet was scrubbed using either sugar scrub or salt scrub ( they do have both ), moisturized, and pampered. After that, it’s pedicure time! In all the collections of MAC Cosmetics, I think MAC Hello Kitty is one collection that I’m determined to collect, given that I have unlimited resources and that includes cash! Haha! For now, I have these MAC Hello Kitty babies, and I am anticipating March 6, for MAC Cosmetics Vivo City will be having the MAC Hello Kitty Collection for sale on that date. They have displayed the collection last weekend, and I almost fainted when I saw the adorable stuffed toy that I’m determined to get, for sure!

Anyway, here’s what I have so far :

I’d be totally honest with you to tell you that the first thing that got me is the packaging. Black packaging with the very very cute black Hello Kitty! I don’t even know if I want to finish these babies, or maybe, if I get to finish using them, I would definitely be keeping the packaging. They’re just so beautiful!

Last week, I received an email from a good friend from Manila, that she’s coming over Singapore. I wasn’t sure if I would be a fit tour guide for her since I’ve only been here for roughly two weeks, and she flies to Singapore four times every year. Ruby Gan, franchisee of Singaporean shoe brand Schu, did not only show me where the best shopping places are here, but she also brought me along with her at the buying office of Schu here. I would have to say this – oh. my. god.

As I entered the Schu office, I was stunned, and I felt I was dreaming. all the four walls of the room were filled with racks of an endless array of shoes of all styles and colors, and I said to myself, ahh, Ruby has the best job of them all! I was able to observe her pick the styles she believed in and loved, and I must say, the new designs that will come out by second, and third quarter of the year, both in Schu shops and the Chocolate Schu Bar in Rockwell will definitely be promising. I’ve been a Schu buyer ever since, and I have seen the brand progress, in terms of style, and quality. By the end of the buying session, I was able to note 5 designs that I would be getting from Schu as soon as they release those styles. So, I’m telling you, be on the lookout for Schu‘s designs. I’m officially in love!

Okay, so, I’m not really turning this in a fashion blog, yknow, I’m still trying to explore my fashionable side, and I still love black amongst everything, but this post is about the beauty addict in Ruby Gan. Ruby , I confess, is someone that I’d want to be like because as a mom of two, she is still as stunning and beautiful as ever, and her body is just so fit! Also, she is an inspiration as she is a very good businesswoman, gym addict, and a sports lover who loves running. She’s someone who’s clearly passionate about life !

I have noticed the beauty addict streak in Ruby as she asked me to meet her in Watson’s in Takashimaya Mall. As I walked in and found her, I saw her cart full of beauty products! Her must-hoard for this trip? Klorane Shampoo, a dry shampoo that you just need to spray on to keep your hair clean! Aside from the fashion boutique stops we made, we also raided Sephora, and the beauty sections over at the Paragon Plaza and Takashimaya Mall. It’s amazing, to see her face light up in such radiance whenever we’d talk about blush ons, self tanners, eyeshadows, nail polish shades, amongst alot of things!

China Glaze is one of my top three favorite nail polish brands. It dries quickly, the staying power is superb ( of course, not discounting the fact for the need for a good basecoat and top coat! ), and best of all, it’s very affordable! Celebrity China Glaze lovers include Rihanna, Beyonce, and Eva Longoria, amongst many ( I’m shallow like that. haha! ) The shade selections are just awesome, and since it’s cold weather season, let’s let our pretty pointers be adorned with dark shades to “warm them up.”

After my good pal Phoebe‘s surprise birthday party celebration ( you have to rush to her blog to stop and admire her new gorgeous look – the bangs, and the red lips! ), I only slept a few hours ( say, about three ) to join Brigitte, to do makeup for a photoshoot. After a tiring day, I was glad that Brigitte was with me, as we ate a late lunch at around 4 in the afternoon, and Shen came over to where we were getting lunch to join us, and little did I know that Nikki was also coming over to give Brigitte her nail art set!
