MAC Cult of Cherry Must Haves

Believe me when I say that MAC Cosmetics’ Cult of Cherry is THE collection to anticipate for, and I recommend all girls to stop thinking when this arrives to our shores and just get them.

My must-have pics for the collection are three.

Beautynomics Review : Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear

Note: The shade in the photo is White On, a more opaque version of Bamboo Shoot. I was unable to take a decent picture of Bamboo Shoot coz my camera was acting up. Sniff. Sorry!

Emm….take a look at my nail polish collection. I don’t even want to look at it because it would be prohibiting my practical mind to buy some more, which I do once in a while. ( Howelse am I going to finish all those bottles? If I had ten pairs of hands, maybe! ) I just love collecting nail polish. I know, they dry up in time, and they’re not the best investments, but I like having them around just in case, by whim, I would want a nice mani-pedi, as I always bring my own bottles with me.

Beautynomics Weekend Story : Bottles Half Full

This beauty blog started because of recommendations. My friends would ask me what products they should buy for this and that. I loved doing it so much that I, well, started a beauty blog! ( the perfect excuse just to stay inside the beauty section of the mall, and just stare at those beautiful things ). I was thinking, everyone loves the weekends, specially me, as they are free to go out, play, and most importantly, SHOP! So, as a treat to my readers, I shall be writing a Friday special called Beautynomics Weekend Story. Weekend stories would include product recommendations, reader questions ( please do send them in! ), some random rants and raves, and sneak previews of what products are going to be reviewed in Beautynomics in the coming days.

To start off, I’d like to share my story for the weekend, with Bottles Half Full. These are products that I love, love, love and I use all the time that they are half-full already, and ready for repurchasing soon!

Nails of the Week : OPI Moon Over Mumbai

Sporting short nails lately!

I’ve been sporting short nails for summer for the reason that I’ve been “roughing it” lately - meaning going to the beach, being all low-maintenance because of the heat, and all that. But that doesn’t mean that my nails won’t get some pampering!

On my nails is one of OPI’s pretty shimmery gray shades called Moon Over Mumbai. It’s described as shimmery gray, but on my hands it seems to look like an almost transluscent white at two coats that glows. The microshimmers are almost unnoticeable unless you take a really close look at it, and with a very glossy topcoat like Poshe, it just looks like a shiny white.

My Zoya Nail Polish Mini Loot

Finally, my nail polish loot arrived already after a long, long time! Haha!

Just last December, I was intensely longing for vivid and beautiful green shades of nail polish. I’ve been endlessly intrigued by the stunning color of green to be worn on the nails. Michelle of All Lacquered Up Girl has worn them quite beautifully, and after my adventure with blues with China Glaze Aqua Baby, China Glaze For Audrey, and OPI Russian Navy ( such a beautiful color! ), I’m all for greens now!

I couldn’t find greens from OPI and China Glaze that were sold online that catered to my fancy, so I opted for Zoya, that had really beautiful greens that they launched for the 2007 Downtown and Utopia Collection. Take a look at my mini stash!

Summerrific Nails : I Love Aqua Baby!

It’s been months since I got this really stunning China Glaze shade called Aqua Baby, as recommended by nail polish expert Michelle from All Lacquered Up ( you are the best! ), and now that it’s summer here, I was just so excited to wear this color as it is very very unique, pretty, and not to mention a total stunner.

Playing Around With M&M Nails

I’ve always wanted to maintain long, beautiful square-tipped nails for I just loved them ladylike. Last December, while doing makeovers, I needed to cut them and maintain them short just like any makeup artist should do, and well, I never thought that I could pull it off with some nail colors!

Warning : This is a product of a very boring day, or rather, my idle mind.

I’ve turned my nails into M&Ms! Hahaha! I used Kreme de la Kremlin by OPI as the nude pink, and Aqua Baby by Chinaglaze as the dark aqua blue shade. I could actually make the pink more shocking and vibrant, such as the OPI Strawberry Margarita that I’m currently wearing now.

The Beautynomist Invades Nail Tropics!

Well, forgive me for the picture, that’s me, all happy, goofing around during the last few days of 2007. Haha!

Last December 28, my close friend who’s working in Singapore flew to Manila for the Holidays, and with her complaint that a single manicure treatment there cost her around 30SGD, we were “mandated” to accompany her to the nearest nail spa all in the name of saving ( yes, salon treatments are quite affordable here in Manila ), and pampering. Boy, I think every single one of us got stressed this year and we all needed even a day’s worth of pampering ( or an hour , phuleez! )

I Heart Holiday Nails !

It just didn’t feel right one cold, November day when I tried to swipe my favorite pink nail polish on my nails. My hands looked too pale. I realized, hey, this is what people are talking about when they talk about dark polish shades for the Holidays, that gives some warmth to the hands and make the hands look muy elegante and alabaster-pretty.

The Body Shop’s Almond Oil Nail & Cuticle Treatment

The ber months are just the busiest days of the year and I must say that it is when my skin, hair, and nails are most deprived that just this week, I was absolutely dying for a good nail pampering session at the salon - but I realized with my schedule, that I can’t. I have a complete manicure pedicure set here at home but I’m just too tired to touch them, and well, my nails have started feeling painful on the edges because of dry skin, and cuticles getting dry.

This product is one of the lifesavers , along with the Creative Solar Oil.

Check out The Body Shop’s Almond Oil Nail & Cuticle Treatment. Continue reading
