One thing that I love about Bobbi Brown products is that it reflects Bobbi Brown’s personality. This must be MAC Cosmetics’ grandest launch, and when they called in their special guests, everyone said yes in a heartbeat, because for one, MAC Cosmetics is a celebrity favorite, being the best bet in TV/movie makeup, and even moreso, a media favorite with having really interesting collections and collaborations! MAC Cosmetics is such a well-loved makeup brand that it deserved all the limelight it had that night!

I heart my MAC lipsticks ( too many shades to mention. Haha! ), MAC blushes, lipglasses, eyeshadows, and almost everything they have, so I was definitely present that night to support!

Stepping inside the event was like stepping into another world. Girls in retro costumes and makeup – designed by that of the same designer as Lady Gaga’s, they definitely made statements.

Before I go on with normal programming ( with my Hardworking Skin Care Products for Night time post ), let me just squeeze in a beauty blind item to share with you.

I’m not the type who bashes a product in my beauty blog, as I believe that bad things do not belong in my blog. You might see that my beauty blog, Beautynomics is full of good reviews, and it’s because I really filter out products that I feature – when I really, really love a product, I am most inspired, and encourage to write about to share it to everyone. When I am dismayed, and disappointed, on the other hand, I lose my drive to write about it and just set it aside, and it doesn’t really end up in my blog.

Sometimes, I think of Beautynomics as the older ( but very very pretty, still ) sister of Beauty & Minerals. After all, upon starting to beauty blog four years ago, I’ve been just obsessed about beauty products, and discovering what’s really really good, I opened Beauty & Minerals roughly a year after Beautynomics to offer to the market my prized beauty picks, that are not readily available in the country. As I went on enjoying my time giving consultations and making people get converted to mineral makeup with Beauty & Minerals, I also got smitten with makeup brushes. As the economy is slowing down and recession is making us cut bank on our spending, as we are being extra careful with our jobs, and finding ways to earn more and save more despite the gloomy atmosphere, recession and beauty products are just one different story. As my last entry about beautynomics goes, as the economy goes down, lipstick sales go up!

With this, L’Oreal, the number one beauty company in the world, in its 100th year, commissioned an international survey of 4,000 women in 5 countries including the United States, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. In each country, 800 women ages 15-65, who use makeup, were asked about their cosmetics products and usage.

The statistics and results are just as interesting, just like men wonder why women would act like this, or like that. Here ya go, with my notes included :
