A Singaporean Beauty Loot

I so agree with that. When in doubt, buy it. When you see something that you want in a foreign land, and the deal’s pretty good, don’t think twice anymore because chances are , it’ll take some time before you go back there! So, I went shopping!

During my stay there, the first thing I hunted for are well, beauty products. I was amazed on how much beauty brands are there, and well, let me show you my loot! This is to prove to all my friends who are teasing me that I hoarded cosmetics there that IT IS NOT TRUE! hahaha!

Keeping Oneself Beautiful While Traveling is a TOP Priority Part 2

Now that I’ve revealed the insides of my toiletry kit ( or big beauty kit, that is, ) let me let you peek in my makeup kit! This is the kit that I’d be bringing around me all the time. Singapore is a beautiful city, and the night life is said to be just wonderful and glamorous- and I am definitely going to glam myself up Friday night to go partying with my classmates from highschool whom I am meeting up! ( They’re working there already ).

The insides of my makeup kit :

A Beauty Addict’s Birthday Loot

*Takes a deep breath* well, here it is - what I’ve got for my birthday. Last year, on impulse, I got myself a Macbook and a DSLR Camera for my birthday ( of course, my dad paid for my Macbook and I paid for my camera haha! ). This year, the greatest birthday gift I gave myself was enrolling myself in makeup class - I will never regret this decision I made because I know in my heart that I love, love makeup, and of course, my birthday would not be complete without a beauty loot. A shameful one, actually. Hahaha!

This pre-birthday loot was purchased right after the MAC Bridal Makeup Workshop. I got myself a DUO Surgical Adhesive from the MAC Counter as we were going to be taught on how to apply false eyelashes the day after, Studiolights in Ideal Pink, Sand, ( and the darkest one the next day ) for my creme highlighting and contouring for my finals ( I’ve always wanted to do that ! ), a MAC Prep and Prime for the Eyes for my models, a Makeup For Ever Concealer Palette since I’ve been borrowing Jheng’s Cinema Secrets Concealer Palette at class for the longest time already, and two babies that flew in just in time for my birthday, Continue reading

Beautynomics Review : Kiehls Lip Balm SPF 15

I could not forget how many rejoiced the moment Kiehls landed in our country, because of the cult favorite lip balms. Alot of people just swear by Kiehls, and even my bestbud loves using it specially the facial wash and moisturizers as it is fitting in cold weather, when she spends her vacation in Canada during the holidays. Well, of course, the curious me wanted to try out some Kiehls, and I decided to try the very much raved about product, which are their lipbalms.

Lipsticks Can Tell You If An Economy’s Doing Good, or Bad!

Did I say that Mac Fafi was just love? *sighs*

Move over GNP, GDP, and even Consumer Price Index! All I need is the lipstick sales of the Estee Lauder Group of Companies, and I shall tell you what the economy’s health is, right here, right now!

Oops, I was just plain kidding. But really, I’m not absolutely joking about it - because from an article I read last week from the New York Times, there is indeed a relationship between lipstick sales and an economy’s health - and it’s inversely related. Beauty companies have noticed that lipstick ( or lipwear - like gloss and lacquers for that matter ) sales had skyrocketed during economic downturns.

Tarte Cosmetics Comes Up With “Health Couture”

This Spring, Tarte Cosmetics goes healthy with its new product line, “Health Couture”, which features the “t5 super fruit complex”, a propriety blend of the five most active super fruits, namely cai, goji, maracuja, acerola and pomegranate. These five super fruits scream anti-aging, refining, and skin restoration. I remember my T3 juice that I’ve been drinking lately - that boasts of antioxidants that help me feel better. Well, I didn’t know until now , that cosmetics were going to be this healthy! Yayness!

For the nerds in us who want to know what each super fruit gives out, well, here’s some beauty info for all us!

Elizabeth Arden Bronzing Collection

Cool Blue. Hot Bronze. These two colors are the inspiration in Elizabeth Arden’s new Bronzing Collection. I just can’t help but sigh, with the marriage of bronze, that reminds me of the beautiful sunny weather, and blue that is reminiscent of the ocean waves. Such a perfect combination, that pulls off a mystical, tropical, and exotic, yet classy look!

Don’t you think blue and bronze make a great combo? Reminds me of an island princess.

Tarte Stain or Shine Summer Collection

This catchy phrase is the Summer Campaign of Tarte Cosmetics, and I definitely can relate to it!

I mean, being a makeup lover, I make sure that when I go out , I look my best, and makeup is definitely in my routine. When summer comes along, I just couldn’t wear my makeup like what I usually apply during the colder ber ( brrr as I call it ) months for they would..MELT! Tarte calls it stain, and I agree! I would not want my face to look like a stained shirt, that would be screechingly horrible!

With that, they have come up with special summer products that would make sure that you definitely shine in the midst of the sunny weather. No stains, ma!
