MAC Spring Colour Forecast 4 : Yellows and Golds

For my last installment of the MAC Spring Colour Forecast, I now bring you numero quatro with yellow and gold shades. Reminds me of golden sunshine and bronze sultry shades of summer. Just the way I like it.

MAC Spring Colour Forecast 3 : Plum and Burgundy

With my third installment of the MAC Spring Colour Forecast, I give you plum and burgundy shades!

Looking at the picture, do you see something different? Look closer, look closer.

Okay, MAC has a totally revamped eyeshadow quad packaging! The new eyeshadow quad looks very sleek compared to the old one, but the old one, with its textured plastic is actually mess-free, as compared to the new eyeshadow quad packaging. Nonetheless, I’m still after the color payoff of the quads.

On to my review,

MAC Spring Colour Forecast 2: Corals

For my second installment of MAC’s Spring Colour Forecast Collection, we have the corals. I must admit that I’m not into corals if you stick true to that shade, but if you mention peaches, I’m in. I love except nude peach lipsticks and peach blushes. If you say the word “coral,” it’s a warm color that’s almost orange - and I remember Elle Woods saying, “Whoever said orange was the new pink, is seriously demented.” ( I was laughing all the time while watching that, I swear! )

Anyway, this collection is full of wearable shades, that killed my coral scare. It was actually a beautiful lineup of shades!

MAC Spring Colour Forecast 1 : Pinks and Lavenders

Oh, I could only remember last year’s MAC Spring Collection - it was the Hello Kitty Collection. I was in Singapore then, and there were pre-buys ( yes, in MAC! ) and day 1 was so chaotic that I almost didn’t get my MAC Hello Kitty doll. This year, MAC wows us tremendously by coming up with a HUGE Spring Collection.

MAC plays with so much spring colors that I got dizzy - there’s Spring Colour Forecast 1 that is inspired by pinks and lavenders, Spring Colour Forecast 2 that plays with coral shades, Spring Colour Forecast 3 with plum and burgundy, and Spring Colour Forecast 4 with warm yellows and golds. How wonderful. And I thought that spring was only about pastel. Haha!

I’m going to start my notes about the MAC Spring Colour Forecast Collection with numero uno.

Sephora Beauty Shopping : A Little Bit of Everything!

I tell you, it’s not only the malls wherein we get to spend on our beauty products. I don’t know if this should be considered a good thing or a bad thing - the internet just makes everything accessible and so darn within reach! Just window-surfing in my favorite online boutique Sephora, I have found really great picks that are just value for money. With Sephora as the leading beauty boutique in the US, it has definitely a wide variety of great brands to choose from, and it’s just too good to be true that they have thought of something so genius - Sephora Favorites. Sephora Favorites includes sample sizes of your favorite product in different brands or variants. Right now, they have two -

Beauty at the Grammy Awards 2010 : Miley Cyrus

Grammy Awards 2010 - RED CARPET

Oh, Hannah Montana, how grown up you’ve become!

Miley Cyrus, aside from being my baby sisters’ favorite actress, earns my love on her stunning get-up for the Grammy Awards 2010. The Herve Leger dress is true love, paired with gladiator heels. Very youthful, and yet very fashionista!

LORAC Liquid Eyeliner Price Slash-Off

LORAC wowed me with their eyeshadows last year. How it’s pigmented is just how I want it - not wildly pigmented but not blah-I-can’t-see-any-color-give-me-my-money-back-one. The colors are just so elegant, and well thought of! Anyway, this has got me thinking, are their liquid eyeliners great?

NARS Spring 2010 Collection

NARS comes up with their version of spring - sexy spring, that is!

Inspired by Catherine Deneuve’s role as Lucille in La Chamade, the NARS Spring 2010 Collection features soft, sexy shades that are as elegant as they are versatile.

“I love Catherine’s makeup look in this movie,” says François Nars, Founder and Creative Director of NARS Cosmetics who chose supermodel Amber Valletta for the campaign. “It’s very sophisticated and bourgeois in a Parisian ‘16th Arrondissement’ way. She is the perfect reference for this collection, and apropos for spring, a time to embrace color and get noticed.”

The items in the NARS’ Spring Collection include :

Beautynomics Mini Review : MAC in Lillyland

MAC In Lillyland

When M·A·C meets the lore and legend that is Lilly Pulitzer, you get a fabulous and funky fun new chapter: a bit of Mar-a-Lago, some well-to-do winky-wink, and a dash of retro-modern pop culture mayhem in prints and colours that make it hip to be in permanent happy land! A collaboration that feels like the best tongue-in-chic resort retort, with all the wonderful prints and Key West colour combinations Lilly has done so beautifully since, well, forever! Fly down to South Florida, with M·A·C in Lillyland!

Lillyyyyyyyyy Pulitzerrrr!!!!!!! Goodness gracious. I’ve been a huge fan of Lilly Pulitzer’s audacious take in fashion - audacious not in the sense of being punk or wildly different, but her take on colors - being able to use bright colors ( my favorite combo, pink and green ) in a very classy, and elegant way. You can read about her life here.

Anyway, I screamed in delight as MAC Cosmetics released this collection, as I just love the colors of Lilly Pulitzer. I just had to see what was in store! I have three pieces in the collection, and here’s my take on them :
