Beautynomics Fieldtrip : The Yakult Plant!

yakultbm

There are things, that we cherish so much as part of our childhood memories, that often when we see that certain thing, it triggers wonderful memories of our childhood that we’d go back over, and over again. For me, it has got to be Yakult.

I grew up drinking two Yakult bottles daily, as I am addicted to its taste. If I were the only child, I think I would definitely devour one pack per day, but I needed to share my favorite drink to my siblings!

ahhh…can’t wait to go in!

Last Saturday, a childhood dream of mine came true, as I was able to see how Yakult was made, at their only manufacturing plant in the Philippines, located in Makiling, Laguna. I was joined with co-Yakult lovers, also called as ” Batang Yakults,” Phoebe, Nikki, Trixie, Rowena, Jenn, Joan, Richard, Carlos, and Chrissie!

Sister Shengrong Liu’s Healing Touch With Acupuncture

Once upon a time, there was a cute little princess named Princess Sophia ( THIS IS MY FAIRYTALE SO DEAL WITH THIS DESCRIPTION! hahaha! ) Oh, how fond she is of technology that she flips open her laptop in bed first thing in the morning, goes on using her computer in the “palace” ( office ) all day, and goes back to her bedroom to use her laptop until it’s time to travel to dreamland. One unfortunate day, she felt her left wrist hurting, as well as her fingers on her left hand, and the left hand itself. Yeowch. And only a frog’s kiss will heal all of that. But then, with the shortage of frogs in the kingdom…

the fairytale turned into a horror flick with needles involved. Who can relate this photo with a movie? hahahaha!

Spa Lovin` at Lemongrass Garden , Cambodia

DSC_2719

Majority of our activities during our trip in Cambodia consisted of walking. We walked to the markets, walked around town, walked to temples and back, and walked to restaurants. W.A.L.K. was the daily word. Haha! With all the walking, walking, and walking we did in Angkor, Cambodia, our feet were just torn and tired, pleading for a massage. ( read up my Cambodian adventure here! )

Tiger Balm Makes My Day

I’m sure this is beauty related. Watch me justify!

What is beauty when your back breaks? What is beauty when your facial expression’s always in pain?

Life Can’t Wait, With Sunsilk

If Sunsilk has launched Madonna, Shakira, and Marilyn Monroe to be the “Life Can’t Wait” campaign symbols of inspiration, locally, we have three of the brightest young stars today to support the campaign, namely, the dance princess Maja Salvador, tv sweetheart Heart Evangelista, and one ( if not the ) of the biggest telenovela stars today, Marian Rivera ( Mariann! read my Marimar moment here. )

Last night was a fun-filled night as Sunsilk unveiled the “revelation” and formally launched the three stars for the campaign, and Beautynomics was there to cover the event, together with my beauty blogging girlfriends! These three beauties chosen to be the faces of Sunsilk couldn’t be a better choice! These lovely ladies could boost business for any product, from shampoo to shoes, from betting sites (partybets.com) , to holiday packages. They are just so charming and attractive!

Lethal Lipsticks : True?

I remember making a post that I made last time about lethal lipsticks. Out of frustration, and lack of proof about lipsticks containing lead, I have come up with a post that disproves the truth about having lead in lipsticks. Well – not exactly not having lead, but the lead levels in the lipstick not being that high enough to cause harm on us. I have exhausted sources way back, and with this new source, I’m afraid it disproves my past post, so I am taking this action to further update and educate my readers of the latest news about this issue.

Watsons Transforms Into The Ultimate Health & Beauty Wonderland!

I used to hate going to SM Mall of Asia because it’s undeniably huge – I can get lost there and never be able to find my way home ( haha! ) – but going to Watson’s is INDEED a different thing. It’s not the usual Watson’s that we’ve come to get used to for our necessities and simple toiletries – it is way way beyond that now! It has just transformed into the ultimate health & beauty wonderland, and Beautynomics was there for a sneak peak of its new look!

We got in!

Is it just me, or Watsons has gone from mass market to semi-high end? The new roster of brands are really impressive – alot of people would be very thankful for this move! More pictures ,after the jump!

Hectic Beauty

hectic beauty law schoolMy dear bestfriend Angel has just had enough of my rantings on Yahoo Messenger about my very stressed state for the past few weeks, that she has donated a blog entry for me, since I have been teaching her how to apply makeup, and look-good tips for Law School. Awww, I love you girl! My guest blogger is none other than my protege and “student” of the Beautynomist, who is also a power student – she tops her classes with ease! Now, I find that sexy – an extremely intelligent, beautiful lady who knows what she wants, and is really really beautiful! ( and loves makeup, like I do, too! ) She reminds me of Elle Woods, or, I’d love to turn her into Elle Woods! Well, here’s Angel with the article, “Hectic Beauty”

Angel says…

I could say with confidence that I am always on the go. Being a full time law student, there is no idle time. You have to be on your toes. Manage your time well. Always be up and ready with your homework. With that, I admit that the temptation to yield to neglecting one’s personal upkeep is strong, nonetheless, this should not be the case. Beauty doesn’t need to be sacrificed with a hectic and on-the-go lifestyle.

G3, the Fruit from Heaven, and My Thirst for Beauty

g3 nu skin pharmanex

I just made a huge purchase today, and I’m hoping that it’d be worth it. My friend Lorraine was raving about how G3, this new drink offered by Pharmanex, is creating waves, positive feedbacks from consumers, and most important of all, how it improved her overall health. Her eyes don’t hurt anymore ( given her delicate eyes ), and she is not as stressed as she is.

Well, of course, being the salesperson she is, she knew my weak and soft spot- she told me that it would really make skin soft and smooth. (Oh no! Salespeople know my soft spot already!!! ) So, all I could say was, “oh wow, get me some.” Because I am always ready to try products that can make my skin definitely look better – absolutely glowing of health.

Well, enough of my chicas and on with the product! G3 is a fruit drink with three very unique and hard-to-find fruits, with their respective descriptions :
