Summer Hair Fragrance

pure petal fragrance summer hair
Summer is the best time of the year. Everything’s bright, the sun’s up, and the atmosphere is as jolly as the good ol sun!

Of course, let’s not forget the scorching heat that awaits us, and sometimes too much heat would make the fragrant stuff we used during our shower wear off, and make them smell bad. Oh, I hate that, I hate that. So in turn, certain fragrances must be used to keep us fresh and happy!

As summer kicks off, I usually steer clear from powdery scents and switch to fresh, fruity scents. Pure Petal Hair Fragrance in Summer Passion is my pick for keeping the hair fresh, and fragrant all day without the heaviness of perfume scents. It’s light, it’s airy, and passion fruit’s one of the loveliest scents I’ve ever tried.

When the word “fruity” is mentioned, one must think that it’s only for kids - a big nah for that. There are great fruity scents that are bordering from sweet to sensual, like grapefruit ( my numero uno favorite scent as of now ) and passion fruit! One word for this must be perfect. Perfect for summer. =)

And one last word, of course, we wouldn’t want to risk our hair being “fried” in the sun with alcohol-based fragrances right? Pure Petal hears our hair’s pleas for an alcohol-free hair fragrance and further nourishes it with moisturizing ingredients! Yipee!

Calgon Body Mist in Pink Grapefruit

calgon body mist

This might be so out of the market now because I remembered this being given to me as a gift by my classmate a good 4 years ago. I ignored it for a while because I wasn’t into fragrances at that time, but when I tried to spray it on me to give me the “beach” mood as I hit the beach last weekend, I found myself inhaling the wonderful, deliriously delightful scent of this body mist!

Pure & Petal Hair Fragrance in Linden Blossom

pure & petal linden blossom Gosh, the heat wave that we have right now is getting the best of me. I’ve been hiding inside airconditioned rooms, and taking cold showers twice a day to freshen up. As much as possible, in this hot hot summer, I want to feel, and look fresh no matter what.

Now, it’s entirely different when someone tells you that your smile is as bright as the sunshine (which is definitely giddy-feel worthy ), and when someone tells you that you smell like the sun. “Amoy-araw”, as my native term describes it. When someone tells you that you smell like the sun, it means that you don’t smell well, as an effect of being under the sun for too long. You know what I mean. I never want to be told that I smell like the sun!

So…? Sinful Fragrance

so...?sinful fragrance Lately, I have been on a fragrance hunt. Further inspired by what Star ( Bembet ) left on my comments box, that Coco Chanel said, ““A woman who doesn’t wear perfume has no future.”. So, that left me alarmed, since I badly needed a future! Hahaha! Kidding aside, fragrances just give our olfactory senses some delight, and it’s way better than smelling either nothing ( aka neutral ) or something bad ! Hahaha ( okay, I’m still joking around ). Okay, I think this is an expensive addiction if ever I will be addicted to fragrances, or should it be?

I was given the chance to sample So…Sinful Fragrance in Eau de Toilette. First, I was astounded by the price tag. It was just around $8 ( around 450 Php ) for a 20 ml bottle. I was like..whaaaat? Usually, I don’t expect much from fragrances within that price range. I mean, I have had bad experiences with low-priced fragrances. Sometimes their scents disappear from the senses within minutes, but that’s okay - but one thing that’s worse than that is that they actually turn bad, I mean really smell nasty ! Argh!

Philosophy’s Falling In Love Fragrance

philosophy falling in love fragrance I’ve never been a fragrance addict, but I do keep a really small collection of scents that I really like. I think that Neutrogena’s Body Oil is the best smelling body oil on earth, and I am endlessly enchanted by the alluring scent of Estee Lauder’s Pleasures and the classy scent of Oleo Relax from Kerastase , and even love the cheap thrill of the squeaky clean scent of Green Cross’ green variant. I keep a select few, but this new discovery, is simply amazing.

Aromatherapy for Blissful Sleep!

sleep Sleep is an integral part of having beautiful, healthy skin. Not only is it the world’s favorite pastime because it feels impossibly refreshing the morning after, sleep also repairs the “wear and tear” of the body, and our minds are well-rested too.

Speaking of skin, yes, the effects are evident. Compare someone who sleeps eight hours versus a woman who has had hardly any sleep. Differences? Sleep girl has fresh, soft, smooth, and hydrated skin, and No-Sleep girl has nasty undereye circles, dilated pores, sometimes puffy eyes, and some really unhealthy complexion - stressed skin. Now, who would want that? I guess no one would. But sometimes, people are just so stressed that they can’t even sleep. So, to facilitate sleep, and “set the mood” for sleep, aromatherapy products, specifically lavender-based, a sleep inducer, really paves way for a blissful sleep.

Aromatherapy products aren’t the conventional ones anymore wherein you risk your house getting burned with all those burning and stuff. Cosmetic companies have formulated lavender in their products not only to serve their basic purpose ( cleanse, moisturize ), but also further soothe, and calm the senses.

Kate Hudson is on Vogue!

Yes, my ultimate favorite, I-wanna-look-just-like-you actress Kate Hudson will be gracing the Vogue cover for July 2006.

Reasons why I like her? She’s so just down-to-earth, and her acting is just great! ( How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days, I declare, is a CLASSIC. Made me laugh, cry, and think) Her style is glamorous, as well as her face is forever clear, and her makeup is always perfect. Did anyone notice how perfectly shiny her locks always are? She is the goddess of perfection! Don’t we all love to have perfect faces like her? I know I do!
