Havaianas Dolls You Up For The Summertime!

matryoshka3

It’s the season of warm sunshine again, and with temperatures rising, one would feel the need to warp into the world of powdery sand and turquoise seas. Tis the time of the year when everybody wants to be carefree, have a good time, and toss their worries away like a beachball. Haha!

Havaianas, or Havs as I fondly call them, play a significant role in my summertime. Although I love wearing them all year round as I am a very laid back person, I excitedly show off the limited edition pairs I buy, and proudly wear new pairs to the beach like a girl going to the prom. Yeah, that’s just me! I remember buying fancy Havaianas designs all year round, just keeping them, and laying them out when it’s time to beach, to make my “beach debut” of my new pair!

Spa Lovin` at Lemongrass Garden , Cambodia

DSC_2719

Majority of our activities during our trip in Cambodia consisted of walking. We walked to the markets, walked around town, walked to temples and back, and walked to restaurants. W.A.L.K. was the daily word. Haha! With all the walking, walking, and walking we did in Angkor, Cambodia, our feet were just torn and tired, pleading for a massage. ( read up my Cambodian adventure here! )

Beautynomics Review : Purederm Intensive Repair Foot Mask

DSC_0948

I must admit that the most harassed part of my body…are my FEET. I love wearing Havaianas, and they just expose my super active feet into dust, dirt, and wear! Some good days my feet feel fine, sometimes, they even border on being really, really dry. I’m not the most enthusiastic person who would reach for a bottle of lotion every night to keep her skin soft and smooth, so that explains why I am having dry feet and legs ( and hands, I think )

When Purederm sent over a few samples, I was immediately drawn to amongst the products that said..FOOT MASK. I’m not usually drawn to face masks, and I’m quite okay with hair masks, but foot masks? They’re definitely unique, and my feet are just needing some love, so I decided to give this a try!

Following instructions, I rinsed my feet in warm water ( ahhh warm water comforts me through and through ) and dry them using my trusty towel. Then, I opened the bottom part of the foot mask pack, and put on my “foot masks” on each of my foot. I wrapped them around my feet, and then the vinyl socks followed. Then, my job was done – all I can do is wait for results.

Beautynomics Review : Heel Savers

Our feet must be the most abused part of our body. We walk, walk, and walk, as our feet carries our weight all day long, and even risks tripping, getting sprained, and even have foot damage when we wear our shoes.

Footwear wise, there are some pretty shoes, that are just plain to-die-for. When you look at those lovely flats, you feel that you’re that preppy urban girl as you imagine yourself gliding with them at the mall, or in school. When you see those really killer high heels – you imagine your legs all elongated, all shapely, making your destination a catwalk, for you to strut on. Yes, I’m obsessed with shoes, but then, I also get hurt in the process.

I get myself pretty flats, and what happens is that , no matter how initially comfortable my pairs are ( at first try ) , they need a break-in period, and sometimes, the break-in period just never ends, leaving the back of my heel in blister-fest, with me in so much pain.

High heels just scream sexy, and I love exuding that vibe time after time, but then, my heels get so tired within an hour, making me score a bad C on walking, losing the grace and the initial confident feel.

I’m just so sure that you’d tell me to invest on better shoes and do more research. But with them already having a new home ( which is my shoe closet ), what am I supposed to do? Just give them up, ignore them, and resign to the fact that I’ve wasted my money? I don’t want to give up! I need these gorgeous shoes to work for me!

Thank God for these awesome heel savers that I’ve chanced upon, that I am given a shot to shoe salvation!
