I’ve always had preference for long haired styles. ( Gosh I sounded like a guy there. ) I remember someone telling me never to cut my hair short. Well, to be perfectly honest, I looked like an egghead when I had a really short boycut when I was in first year high school. Not the cut’s fault, it was actually my hair’s fault. My hair was just so thick that it poofed up big time.

If there’s one waterloo that I admit to, and I am embarrassed about – it’s my inability to fix my hair. I fuss about my makeup all the time as I attend events, and social functions, but when it comes to hair, that’s when I give up. I have no skills whatsoever with the curling iron, and yet, I still dream of big, beautiful locks completing my look!

But then, Lady Gaga, Stephanie Germanotta in real has committed a grave, grave beauty crime – overdyeing her hair. It was a lovely Thursday lunch that I quietly left the office on a half day just to see the lovely Bianca Valerio. What’s not to be giddy about Bianca Valerio? She is just one of the people in the fashion industry that I really admire -as she is the total package – beautiful, with impeccable fashion sense, an eloquent writer and host for a TV show, and for events, highly skilled in makeup artistry, and with all of that, she has remained down to earth, humble, and really friendly! She has also created waves with her makeover show, F.A.S.H., poising itself for a second season already! So yes, she was quite a person to see that Thursday!

I was really intrigued as Tupperware’s Colour Collection has announced that Bianca is their new Chief Makeup Artist. Bianca, being really product-savvy and a beauty product critique, must have seen something really good with Colour Collection! I was really excited to find out! What I know is that Bianca is very critical when it comes to her beauty products, and she would agree in endorsing one brand only if it worked for her!

To be honest, the title of this post should be, “How It Feels Like To Sit Beside Andi Eigenmann for Almost an Hour!” Hahahaha! It’s because I literally froze! ( why do I have these starstruck tendencies with stars? maybe it’s because I watch too much TV! )

I cheered on ( in my own home ) Andi Eigenmann as she was poised to stardom with her big break, Agua Bendita, cried with Agua and got mad at Bendita, I think that she just looks so beautiful! At age 20, she is definitely going places with her acting career.

Last December, I was given the chance of a lifetime to be able to chat with Youtube Makeup Guru Michelle Phan. Due to schedule problems ( as I was firmly planted in my booth the whole of December ), I wasn’t able to participate in the group chat with Nikki, Shen, and Phoebe. But lucky me that CloseUp made things happen by letting me ask Michelle Phan some questions to be able to share her knowledge to Beautynomics readers!

Well, Michelle Phan is such a success story, starting from her cute Youtube tutorials, gaining such a huge following, and even catching Lancome’s attention! I wish one day I would be like that, but she is just a success story that I wouldn’t mind getting inspired with.

In the midst of beautiful people gracing the Golden Globes 2011 red carpet, I must say that Tron-Legacy star Olivia Wilde shone admist the rest! Aside from her stunning, jewelled Marchessa gown, she looked absolutely gorgeous! Her look is au naturelle, very nude but very fresh!

Celebrity makeup artist Spencer Barnes notes that Olivia’s look was inspired by images she collected of what she refers to as ‘the French girl.’ “I wanted her skin to be fresh and clean with eyes that extended outward. Touches of rose gold and sheer pink-veiled lips completed her youthful coquette-ish look,” Spencer said.

Celebrity makeup artist Melanie Inglessis made up Lea Michele with these keywords in mind : young, fresh, playful, glowing, luminous, pretty, and chic! Well, I have to say that this is one of the more fresh, and youthful looks that I’ve seen of Lea Michele. I also happen to love her dress! Woot!
