What’s a fun, fun thing to do for two bestfriends on a Sunday afternoon?

Shopping, of course!

It was last weekend that Jacqe and I had a fun-filled afternoon of shopping. As we chatted the first half of the afternoon away, and played with makeup in her room, we made sure to have a detour at the mall before heading to the hotel for a wedding reception. Believe me, that the shopping “angle” of our afternoon was highly unplanned! But when I brought my trusty VS cordless hair straightening iron, I think Jacqe fell in love with it that she wanted one for herself! With that, shopping mode was on! Partners in Crime : Hair Iron, and Heat Defense Spray!

My hair had always been poofy, wavy, and coarse. I’ve always begged my mom before for me to have those regular hair relaxing treatments to make my hair more manageable, and I remember during my college days that I bought my first hair iron – at the local mall, for such a low price. I could remember my first day of using it, as my classmates remarked on how beautiful my hair was. Goodness. I could almost kiss my hair iron that time. I promised to iron my hair everyday, but guess what?

It wasn’t all that good. I would notice that my hair would get drier and drier as the days go by, and end up with stick straight, but really damaged hair. Okay, I stopped with the hair ironing and just resulted to tying my hair for as long as I could imagine.

Give it a little fast forward action, as I had my hair rebonded for the first time. It definitely felt like heaven as I could just wash and wear my hair that beautiful everyday, as I spoiled it with conditioners and those weekly hair masques. But then, hair rebonding does not last for a lifetime. In – between rebonding sessions, I have stumbled into a better quality of hair iron – in ceramic form. It was better than the first generation of hair irons, and had less damaging effects.
