Thing about skin care, is that you need to hear it from the experts. Everyone knows how much I LOVE primers, specially silicone-based ones. My face is not exactly evenly textured – I do have large pores, small pores, lines, and even depressions, and I’d do anything to “fill em up” and not let makeup sink in those imperfections and magnify my skin problems.

Pores, pores, pores. I never really believed in products that promised to make pores smaller. What I do know is that as dead skin cells build up, pores are magnified with the dead skin cells that surround them, giving them thick layers and making them look awful. Chemical peels, in my opinion, and exfoliation are the best procedures/rituals to help make the pores look more refined.

It usually takes a lot of time to be able to review skin care – sometimes, your beauty bloggers might blog about their initial impressions with the textures and initial effects on their skin, but for long term effects, it usually takes months to know if a product is worth keeping or we go on to the next product.

One product that I’d like to share with you that is really for keeps is my Holy Grail eyecream as of the moment – Eyliplex-2. I remember my first few weeks, that I solely enjoyed Eyliplex in the morning, as it would instantly de-puff my eyes in the morning, and just hope that my lines would diminish, as well as my dark undereye circles by applying the night cream.
But guess what- I only found out the effect after finishing one whole container, and stopping.

I stopped for about a month, and just used really light eye creams for the meanwhile, trying to be thrifty because Eyliplex is not cheap, and I’m starting to be stingy. Hahaha!

It’s no secret that I love beauty products that address specific concerns. I found a keeper with the brand Goodskin Labs, as they come up with products that are not just a product of marketing, but they have products that are not so common, with no-nonsense packaging, that doesn’t just promise to work, but really deliver before you can even wish for something!
