Ahhhh. The New Year brings about so much promises. Fresh beginnings. Promises of a better you. I think we’ve all used up the last few days of 2012 to reflect, and see how we can do better the following year. Agree?

I’ve always been a big believer of beauty kits. I do, actually have two of them inside my bag sometimes! I feel that really unprepared for battle sort of vibe whenever I fail to bring my beauty kit, as I always want to look my best whenever I go out for work or for play. Last week, I was invited to attend a dinner hosted by Closeup, as they were launching a new product. Well what is it? It’s a product composed of two contrasting ideas – warm and cool, just Katy Perry’s song, “Hot or Cold.” ( I just had to say it ok! hahahaha! ) Closeup believes that opposites can indeed attract and be combined for an amazing result, just like their latest product, Closeup Fire-Freeze gel toothpaste.

Last December, I was given the chance of a lifetime to be able to chat with Youtube Makeup Guru Michelle Phan. Due to schedule problems ( as I was firmly planted in my booth the whole of December ), I wasn’t able to participate in the group chat with Nikki, Shen, and Phoebe. But lucky me that CloseUp made things happen by letting me ask Michelle Phan some questions to be able to share her knowledge to Beautynomics readers!

Well, Michelle Phan is such a success story, starting from her cute Youtube tutorials, gaining such a huge following, and even catching Lancome’s attention! I wish one day I would be like that, but she is just a success story that I wouldn’t mind getting inspired with.

My teeth are not the whitest. They’re a bit yellow, and turn reallly yellow when I use warm red lipsticks, that’s probably why I am not into red lipsticks. I’ve always inquired about teeth whitening from my dentist, but always decided against it because I just can’t bring myself to spend that much money to make my teeth whiter. I’ve also resorted in trying Crest Whitening Strips – they do really work, but I have not the patience to maintain. Ahh! But really, my wish one day is to have beautiful, white teeth, to compliment my smile with. Oh sigh! Isn’t this almost everyone’s problem?
