I don’t normally wear jewelry (coz I’m lazy like that ), but there are certainly some events that you can’t NOT wear jewelry. Say, the prom! Hahaha!

Okay, fine, it’s not my prom but it’s Sugar’s prom. I definitely wore jewelry during my prom ( as far as my memory can stretch ) as accessories and sparkling things really add oomph to an outfit and complete the total look. I think I’ve had my hair rebonded for three consecutive years ( or even more, seaching archive..haha! ) already that I have been relying on rebonded hair to keep my uber wavy hair sleek, and naturally straight. My hair’s too thick, and wavy that tough luck on making it stick straight – the only effect I am able to get is decent, healthy-looking straight hair.

Now, just this year, I have had thoughts of having my hair permed, or at least, for the meanwhile, I have been playing with curling tools having been more adventurous. With that, I have postponed my annual rebonding sessions, and just opted to iron my hair whenever I feel the need to look polished.

I must admit that I only keep a small collection of eyeshadows. I don’t like collecting too much – I think I’m more obsessed with a flawless canvass, and recently, beautiful cheeks. But of course, staple shades would always be on my vanity table. I’m a schizo when it comes to eyeshadows – sometimes I want them soft focus, and feminine, but sometimes I want them ultra pigmented, that gives instant color at first swipe. What I don’t like? Color that’s too diluted, texture too powdery, or color just won’t show up no matter how much you pack colors on your lids.

With my recent love for playing and experimenting with eyeshadows, I have tried Avon Smooth Mineral Eyeshadow.

Superfine powder pigments blend like a dream. Use one or layer, go sheer or smoky. Whisper-soft, air-light. Natural radiance, pure luxury.

Loose eyeshadow. Using loose mineral eyeshadows must entail a very careful application, for once powder falls on unwanted places ( like your undereyes ) , they are very hard to remove. A generous dusting of loose powder under the eyes is most recommended prior to playing with loose mineral eyeshadows. Let the excess powder fall of there. Sweep them away later.

One of the good budget brands that I patronize is Avon. Avon products are insanely affordable, and yet, they deliver results. Heck, my mom even made me promise to give her Avon lipsticks for she claims that Avon lipsticks last long – there are some tubes that are still smelling fragrant and nice after four years, and she’s been wanting that cake foundation forever. My mom can be really cute. Haha!

Anyway, for my readers asking for good budget buys, I highly recommend Avon, specially their lipsticks. With that, here’s a good recommendation for an Avon lipstick – Avon Ultra Moisture Rich Lipstick in Sheer Berry.
