Beautynomics Weekend Story : Bottles Half Full

This beauty blog started because of recommendations. My friends would ask me what products they should buy for this and that. I loved doing it so much that I, well, started a beauty blog! ( the perfect excuse just to stay inside the beauty section of the mall, and just stare at those beautiful things ). I was thinking, everyone loves the weekends, specially me, as they are free to go out, play, and most importantly, SHOP! So, as a treat to my readers, I shall be writing a Friday special called Beautynomics Weekend Story. Weekend stories would include product recommendations, reader questions ( please do send them in! ), some random rants and raves, and sneak previews of what products are going to be reviewed in Beautynomics in the coming days.

To start off, I’d like to share my story for the weekend, with Bottles Half Full. These are products that I love, love, love and I use all the time that they are half-full already, and ready for repurchasing soon!

Keeping Oneself Beautiful While Traveling is a TOP Priority, Part 1

Hi everyone!

In a few hours, I’m off for a plane to Singapore to celebrate Tin’s birthday. Yes, I’d be traveling with the pretty sisters Tin and Diana to the sunny city of Singapore! They said the heat’s insane there so I’ve got my trusty deodorant with me and my nice shorts that is considered alright to be worn there ( whoopee! ) Anyway, for my vanity kit, I’ve been known to be a really, really heavy packer, and well, let me just share to you what I’m bringing for my trip! Take a peek, take a peek!

A Shoutout to Earth Therapeutics

Dear geniuses behind Earth Therapeutics,

I hope you know that I’m a HUGE fan of your Anti-Stress line. Aside from your very very addicting Anti-Stress Pillow Mist, I think your Anti-Stress Massage Soap is the best smelling soap on earth as it smells heavenly. Yes, I can see the clouds when I bathe with this.

If ever you get to read this, I am hoping you’d come up with fragrances that have the same scent as the Anti-Stress Soap. Anti-stress body mists or fragrances, perhaps?

Boy oh boy, I would want to smell heavenly as well!

Beautynomics Review : SkinCeuticals AOX Body Treatment

One Saturday afternoon, while my classmates and I were checking out bath and body products at the local beauty bar, someone recommended a nice lotion to me, and got the shock of her life when I said, “Oh, I don’t like lotions.” and even asked me to repeat it.

But honestly, I’m not a fan of lotions and I don’t like applying them first thing in the morning - I’d rather apply them during bedtime, but as I see my skin look dry and scaly, I would need a really intense and powerful lotion that would help bring my skin back to life. And I think I’ve found it - it’s the SkinCeuticals AOX Body Treatment.

Blue Water Day Spa Unveils New Endorsers

I don’t know if it’s just me, but looking at Piolo Pascual and Marian Rivera already relaxes me. Their sights just relax my mind. Hahaha!

Kidding aside, Blue Water Day Spa, last April 30, 2008, unveiled its new endorsers, the very hunky Piolo Pascual and the seductive siren Marian Rivera. They’re both the hottest TV stars to grace primetime TV nowadays, and well, they are surely the busiest in terms of schedules, considering their endless endorsements! ( If you are a TV fanatic like me, you’ll be so familiar with them you’d think they’re family! haha! )

Summer Showers Review : The Body Shop Moringa Bath Gel

Two words : SUPER HOT.

The heat has been just simply impossible lately. And I mean it! It’s been just unable to bear, and it’s humid, and it’s sticky! See, even I am getting cranky, just bleeeaaaaym et on the heat! Haha!

The shower in the bathroom just seems to be so appealing everytime I wake up, and everytime I come home from work. I think I’d like to live there, thank you very much!

Anyway, another great body wash that I’ve tried lately is the freebie I got from the Lipton’s Feel Good Event, which is a bottle of The Body Shop Moringa Bath Gel.

For some information about “moringa,”

First used in Ayurvedic medicine some 4,000 years ago, moringa seed oil comes from the moringa tree which is also known as the ‘miracle tree’ due to its wide variety of beneficial uses.

Moringa seed oil was highly treasured by the ancient Roman, Greek and Egyptian civilisations for its use in protecting skin and making perfume. The oil contains high levels of oleic acid, a fatty acid that helps to restore the skin’s moisture levels, helping to protect against drying, keeping skin feeling soft and smooth.

Upcoming MAC Collection : Skinsheen

Thanks to MAC, its loyal followers and shopaholics will get to sport flawless, silky, beautiful legs and will want to wear shorts and skirts all the time! I’m most anxious to get this in the counters come May ( in the U.S. ),

A sprayable lightweight gel that unlike your fancy, never drifts.
Brushes lightly and flawlessly over the skin… undetectable.
For the ultimate secret application and smoothest sheen,
try the 179 body buffer brush. Skinsheen leg spray applies like
a soft mousse to provide a quick, highly blendable application
of colour to legs, arms, shoulders and décolletage.

Summer Showers Review : Ilog Maria Lavender Honey Soap

Summer’s such a cheerful weather as it supplies me with endless sunshine, and warmth, but the heat.

Ugh, the heat! The heat has been impossible to deal with lately that lets me dress down, scrimp on makeup application, and be more generous with applying SPF like a lotion.

One of my favorite, and absolutely luxurious pastimes lately, has been taking a shower. Oh yes, blissful showers.

That’s why for the next few entries, I will be reviewing bath products! Just because they’re what I’ve been checking out, and shopping for lately. This weather sure has triggered my fancy for fresh, and fragrant body products such as bath gels, bath salts and scrubs, and whatever there is that can be used to make me feel fresh and help me feel sunshiney, just like the weather!

So, my first review for my Summer Showers Series : The Ilog Maria Lavender Honey Soap.

Scrub Story : The Face Shop’s Sake Clarifying Body Scrub

Last weekend as a relaxing one as I was given the chance just to laze around the house with nothing to do but rest. And when that happens, all the attention goes to my personal needs, specially my skin. There’s where I remembered that I had The Face Shop’s Sake Clarifying Body Scrub lying around in my drawer for 2 months already.

Formulated with Sake this luxurious body line clarifies and hydrates skin while calming the senses. Its sensational Sake scent releases tension and invigorates an exhausted body and soul.

This cream type body scrub contains extra soft grain granules (like apricot seed sesame seed rice bran etc) to gently remove dead skin cells. Gentle enough for frequent use.
