We all met up at SM Makati, at their current pop-up store at the ground floor, near the SM Department Store there. We were given a chance to try Shiseido’s newest breakthrough product that promises you that your dark spots will be erased, and what would be left, is only beautiful, even, bright, beautiful skin.
Shiseido White Lucent The Ultimate Whitening Pair works hand in hand, as the Shiseido White Lucent Spot Targeting Serum+ crushes all the hardened melanin on our skin ( our dark spots caused by aging, sun exposure, and even hormones ), and Shiseido White Lucent Power Brightening Mask ejects all the existing crushed melanin.
This is the Shiseido pop-up store at SM Makati. There, they offer free consultation ( no purchase required ), and makeovers and facials with a minimum purchase. There, you can also see Shiseido makeup that you can actually swatch and check for your perfect shade!

That day, we were given a treat by trying out the Shiseido White Lucent Power Brightening Mask. I have been trying out the Shiseido White Lucent Spot Targeting Serum for a few weeks now, and my skin just has that beautiful glow that I’ve seen in photos. To disclose, I don’t usually have dark spots, as my skin is really oily. What I’m after in this Ultimate Whitening Pair, would be how it would brighten my skin, and make it look more even-toned overall, and radiant, as my skin is dulling up from the lack of sleep lately from various must-dos at work ( can you guess which? yes, you’re correct, ALL of them hahaha! )
The Shiseido White Lucent Spot Targeting Serum+ is an oily-skinned gal’s dream come true, in my opinion. It feels that it is water based, and really feels like water on the skin. I do not feel any greasy feeling towards it, and my skin just drinks it up pretty quickly! I’ve been applying this for the past week, and for comedogenic Sophie who reacts and greases up to almost anything, this does not disappoint.
The Shiseido White Lucent Power Brightening Mask is so potent and concentrated, that it is equivalent to one whole bottle of Shiseido White Lucent Spot Targeting Serum+. This is your best bet when you want beautiful skin on a really important day. The fit, unlike other masks, can fit all our face shapes as it is stretchable, and clings to the face, so you won’t have trouble trying not to make it fall off. It’s just so cute that I look like a cartoon here as I’m wearing it! Wearing the mask has that really cooling, relaxing sensation on my face, and can be quite tingly. From the usual ten minutes, I opted for a longer waiting time because I was enjoying my mask anyway, so I went from ten to around fifteen to twenty minutes wearing this mask! Hahaha!

Lo and behold. I don’t know if the camera does justice to this, but if you zoom in closer, the immediate effect of the mask is nothing short of AMAZING. My skin has considerably brightened and had that dewy glow, and what’s even more interesting, is that my pores became really refined, that I actually did not need a silicone-based primer for that day to make my makeup look good! I suddenly had a flashback from makeup school abroad that it was taught to us for bridal makeup to bring a special mask to have the bride use for ten minutes prior to makeup application for her skin to be at its best state, and for makeup to glide in better. This must be the magic of masks, and the Shiseido Power Brightening Mask is simply extraordinary. The price of this is around P 3,200+ per box of 6′s – that’s around P500 per mask, and just by seeing that result made me want to save up to get a box, and save each piece for a special occasion to use! I was just so wowed, that I’m willing to put my money on this.

I am now using Shiseido Natural Eyebrow Pencil. I love it so much that though it is not the perfect shade for me (the bf was the one who bought it in Japan) I am still using it everyday. I love how it gives me the define brows that I want without looking too overdone! I’ll be repurchasing another one and I’ll make sure it is the perfect shade!

4. My favorite product from Shiseido so far is their Tsubaki shampoo, my mom bought a lot during her trip to Japan, and my hair hasn’t suffered since. The product gave my hair that extra bounce, and that much needed repair and renewal. I’m going to try their White LOucent line soon too, as my face needs that glow!! The mounds of work keep my skin boringly dull.

I would like to try Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush, Perfect Refining Foundation, and Camellia Compact. I heard and read a lot of raves about those three most specially about the perfect foundation brush it was said to give the most flawless makeup base application and can be used as an all around tool too. Just like its name, it is a perfect brush.
