Today, I almost lost my phone. I think I spaced out for a moment and forgot that I left it at a certain place. I mean, during this day and time, once you leave something as important and as valuable as a mobile phone, you immediately deem it gone, right? It might be picked up by someone, and it will never be back in your hands again.

But then, this experience just made me see some things differently.

Just awhile ago, as Tara and were on our way to our next event today, my other phone rang, my sister telling me that I left my phone at Jamba Juice. I was like, “I wasn’t at Jamba Juice?”, but as I checked my bag for my other phone, it wasn’t there. Darnit. This doesn’t happen everyday, and this has never ever happened before, so I was even more disoriented about what happened, but it was just my lucky day that the person who was able to adopt my phone for a few hours was actually a really kind soul. This is what happened –

Apparently, my phone was found inside the restroom just near Jamba Juice. I was trying to backtrack what made me forget my phone – I think I was just applying loose powder in front of the mirror. Apparently, Angela ( the one who found my phone ) found it in the restroom, and told me that it was “just there.” As my phone was locked, but it was on 3g, and I always had that habit posting photos immediately, Angela saw some of the likers of my photos, and tagged them on Instagram :

okay, who’s vain. me. haha!

Whiterlies ( Hannah – thank you dear for being so active in Insta!!!! and for calling Straw! ) is my sister’s close friend from high school, and made the call to my sister, and my sister called me. Tara and I, nearing Shangri-la already, went back to the Fort again to meet Angela. I was actually embarrassed that Angela and her friend were waiting for me to arrive there to hand me my phone. She even asked me for my secret code to verify my identity, which was actually really cool.

Today is just one of those days when my cynicism to this world was switched off for the meanwhile, as was just so lucky that an angel, a good-hearted person was the one who found my phone. I am just so so thankful that there are still honest, and good people in this world. Angela Chan, you are not just beautiful ( in person! yes, she is! ), you are also a beautiful person inside, with a heart for other people. Thank you so much for saving me today. God Bless You! You’re my angel!

I also have newfound appreciation for keeping my phone’s 3g on. Boy that was close. What if my 3g wasn’t open at that time? I love you technology!!!!

Now, to be extra careful and not be spaced out in public places. Sigh!

I can understand your cynicism about the remaining goodness in this world. Angels like her should be celebrated. They deserve all the praises!
