From the makers of the hit brand Gluta C, is a new, and really promising product called Moringa O2 Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion.
Yup, it sounds a bit…herby and traditional, but let me remove that misconception from your mind as I give you a review about this product!
What Is It?
Moringa O2 Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion is not just any lotion. It’s a lotion that claims to be packed with antioxidants, thus, promoting anti-aging. It’s a skin multivitamin lotion, having potent ingredients Moringa ( which is malunggay, ), olive oil, and Omega, derived from sunflower oil.
The benefits that Moringa O2 Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion, according to its literature are :
* Deeply nourishes and moisturizes dry skin
* Smoothens and softens dry and scaly skin
* Stimulates cell regeneration and skin renewal
* Improves skin elasticity, suppleness
* Helps slow down signs of aging
* May help relieve itch
* Skin lightening
* UVA/UVB Protection
* Quick absorption and non-greasy
Well, the claims sure are promising! As per my roadtest, here’s how I find this product. I am patterning my review from Sample Room, as I have been reviewing samples there since it launched, and I do like giving ratings. I’d just put a long narrative here as well, I tend to talk or say alot! Hahaha!
Consistency/Texture
Okay. I’m the type of gal, that when you try to scratch her skin using your fingernail, will leave a while trail on it. Yep, my skin is dry. Who’s to blame? ME. I can’t blame it on the weather, my genes, or the environment, as stubborn Sophie is really hesitant to use lotions. I really, really try to love them, but I just don’t like heavy creams on my skin. I’m not a fan of creams. Heck, for my face, I even use liquid serums, and not moisturizers. Too stubborn!
With Moringa O2 Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion, I find it really nice that this is refreshingly different from the typical lotions that I’ve tried. Its consistency is very light, and it has this cooling feel as you spread or massage it on your skin. It feels liquid-y or watery on the skin. Semi-creamy, but semi-watery, and it definitely does not feel heavy. The quick-absorbent claim is really true, as I am rejoicing on how light this is and how easily this gets absorbed on the skin! My skin feels fresh, with no heavy feel after applying this. I’m pleased!
For lotion-phobic friends, this will definitely pass your standards as it has passed my impossible standards. Hahaha!
Smell
As for the smell, you would think that it would smell all herbal or aromatic. It might not be pleasing on the imagination, as herbal sounds well, old. Haha! But let me break that misconception, because this is indeed the most fragrant smelling lotion for me right now! Yep, this smells really good! Take a guess on what it smells like? It smells like green tea perfume! Yup, the expensive brand of perfume that is really famous for their green tea scents! Oh my goodness. I finally have something to layer on. I’d apply this on my skin, and then follow-up with that expensive perfume. On a personal note, I am highly raving about the scent, as I am a fresh-scent kind of gal – I like them fresh, and I’ve found a perfect match with breezy, clean scents like green tea.
I love!
Consistency/Texture
The consistency of this product is really light, that makes me guess that this is water-based. As you squirt product out of the bottle, it looks like a faint cream, and as you spread it on your skin, it just disappears really quickly. Not too quickly in the sense that it doesn’t make you feel moisturized, it’s because as it dries on my skin, my skin is left with that lingering fragrance, and that softness!
Moisturizing Effect
For me, my skin feels soft and clean after applying this. The moisture level that this gives must be moderate and for normal to dry skin, but I do have to commend on the softening properties of this product!
Overall…
Consistency/texture’s a winner for me, the scent won me over big time, and it’s very quickly absorbed on the skin. I love it! For the moisturizing properties, I would still have to continue using this to see really long-term results, but as of now, I’m pretty contented with the Moringa O2 Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion because of the comfort level that it gives me, and with me having such a big affinity with the scent. I believe that if I stay faithful to this product, I would have really soft, and well-maintained skin.
Some Other Noteworthy Remarks
One great thing about this product is that it is actually mild, and gentle enough that pregnant women can use this. Yes! Pregnant women usually have trouble choosing on beauty products to use during those nine months, and I am happy to tell you preggy friends that this is safe to use for you!
Price
For P129.50 for a 125ml product, this is so affordable that you’d want to repurchase this over and over. I love the price point. I feel that this product should cost more than the said price. It smells so…expensive! *winks*
So there you go, a run-down on what I think of the new Moringa O2 Herbal Moisturizing Lotion. I really love it, the raves are all well-deserved! I encourage you to grab a bottle ( available at Landmark, and major department stores ) and smell/see for yourself how great this find of mine is!
