For the next few days, you will be bombarded with lipstick posts. I hope you’ll like it, as after all, lipsticks are a girl’s first “entry-level” product in the world of cosmetics, and maybe one makeup product that one can’t live without!
It’s just that ever since the New Year, I have been spring cleaning some stuff over here and found out that I have actually bought some lipsticks and never used them, or used them once and just kept them inside my drawer. Happens all the time. I had some free time during the Holiday break enough to promise myself that I’d wear a different shade of lipstick to roadtest, and moreso, share with you my readers with my ultimate mission, which is to let you find your perfect shade and be happy! I know, because lipsticks make me happy!
This one happened to be a gift from MAC Cosmetics last Christmas, and I was thrilled to see this as they really knew my shade choices. I like subtle, elegant, and classy. When I opened the lipstick tube, and saw the color that MAC Cosmetics Sheen Supreme in Tea Ceremony is, I saw royalty.
MAC Cosmetics Sheen Supreme in Tea Ceremony is a a mixture of creamy, almost brown nude ( mix brown with cream, there you have it ) and leaning on a small hint of peach in it. It’s a nude shade, but it’s not pale. It’s nude but it has this deep color that gives color to your face. I have taken a liking to it, as it just looks so…professional and serious. This shade belongs to a board room meeting, a serious business meeting, and maybe a tea party ( think England and Princess Kate! ).
Here is me wearing it. I like the consistency of Sheen Supreme lipsticks by MAC as they remind me of Slimshine lipsticks that I don’t see anymore. They’re creamy, they spread out color evenly on the lips with solid color, and they turn out glossy and juicy-looking. Super nice. For this shade, as it is not a bright shade, I would suggest to play up other features of the face, with well-defined eyebrows ( still keep it soft and not too harsh ), a well-played subtle eyeliner on both upper and lower lash lines, loads of mascara, and perhaps, a bright, peach blush on the cheeks to make the face look alive and bright! Here, I am using the ever-reliable NARS Orgasm. It’s the peach blush for all peach lippies!
I recommend this for those who are into toned-down shades, and are into elegant-looking shades. I really love this one! Well, how do you like it?

Oh this shade is gooorgeous. Looks like a perfect nude on you.
I’ve been looking for a good light brown nude that isn’t so drying to the lips. I picked up Velvet Teddy which is darker than this, I think. Thanks for reviewing this, I have something in mind next time I go lipstick hunting!
This is my kind of nude, something peachy that’s not too pale. May I know your MAC foundation shade? Thanks!
