I can stay here forever. As long as I have beauty products with me. That’s the catch!

Last weekend, I was given the change to re-charge, and relax. Last weekend, I was able to runaway from reality for three days in my most favorite place in this world. Thank God, I’m Filipino. Thank God, I’m born, and I live in the Philippines. Thank God, I have Boracay here with me. In my country, in my heart.

Just a funny fact, that I have booked this trip on January 1 ( first day of the year! ) during an Airphil seat sale. I cancelled it last minute because I needed to join Cosmetologie that year, and I was happy that I still got the fare that low even so! But really, in the midst of the crazy ber months, and the even crazier things happening in my life ( with beauty blogging, my work in our family business, Charm makeup brushes, and a new online venture happening very soon – you’ll be in the loop ok! ) , I’ve felt that my brain = mashed potatoes. Don’t get me wrong, I love, LOVE what I do, but the pressures of meeting deadlines, being a perfectionist, and just mobilizing things entail hard work, and can be exhaustive. I love it that we have the loveliest beach in the world right here in our country, as I feel that I always get to re-stock on that supply of energy, intensely good vibes ( sunshine there makes me happy! ) , and I just love staying there. It’s as if I’m away from the busy world, just enjoying paradise.

During this beach trip, I was able to save up on airfare, and just re-allocate my budget with a good resort. I have this thing about nice resorts and accommodations in every travel I make, and try to save up for it as much as I can. My choice, forever, and ever, in Boracay, would be Two Seasons. Great rooms, spacious bathrooms!

I just HAD to share with you how beautiful the bathroom is. Hahaha!

Aside from my beautiful accommodations, I brought with me two items for roadtest – Pevonia Botanica products. Pevonia Botanica can be classified as luxury spa products, and the best location for roadtest for these would be Boracay – so it was just perfect!

Protect and Prevent! Pevonia Hydrating Sunscreen protects your skin from the sun’s harmful UVA & UVB rays. Enriched with Vitamins E, C, and B, SPF 30 safeguards your skin, counteracts sun damage, and prevents premature aging on your face and body. Active ingredients : Titanium Dioxide, Octinoxate
Octisalate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Calcium Ascorbate

The Pevonia Botanica Ligne Soleil Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 happened to be my favorite during this trip. You only need a small pea-sized amount for the face ( or apply more, to prevent burning ), and sun protection is moderate, at SPF 30. What’s so love-worthy about this product? The smell. Oh yes. The rose scent is just so addictive, that made my friends ask for some to apply, and even had me apply it on my shoulders! It’s quite addictive, I tell you! During regular days in the office, or fieldwork, I use this. I’ve been using this for two weeks, and I love it that it is non-greasy, does not cause breakouts, and just feels great on the skin. No icky feeling, guaranteed! For the beach, you would need to apply this every few hours ( say 3 ), but during regular days, it would do for the entire day, I believe!

Refreshing Hydration! Pevonia Phyto-Aromatic Mist is a replenishing aromatic mist on your face any time during or after-sun exposure for immediate hydration. A delightful blend of Chamomile, Calendula, and French Rose, balance and restore your skin’s natural moisture. Key ingredients : Hyaluronic Acid, Chamomile, Aloe, Calendula, French Rose

The Pevonia Botanica Ligne Soleil Phyto-Aromatic Mist, on the other hand, is an after-sun product that just feels so soothing on the skin. I was disappointed that it didn’t smell like rose, just like the sunblock, but the smell was just neutrally okay. No overpowering fragrance, just a simple mist. As I spritz it on my face and on my shoulders after a shower after my swim and sun-bathing, it just gives me that soothing sensation that just feels great.
I just kept on spritzing and spritzing for that refreshing sensation. Post-beach, I would use it right after applying makeup, to help makeup and stay put for the entire day, and it really does its job! I also spritz this on my face after a tiring day, post-toner application, just right before dinner. It just soothes my senses!

By my positive experience with these two Pevonia Botanica products, I am even more curious to try more products from them. But then, I am really thankful for finding two allies in these two products. After all, I’m all for anti-aging with sunblock, and I’m all for relaxing my senses with mists, and such!

Now, I’m all recharged, and ready to face the crazy times this last quarter of the year will bring me. Thank you Boracay. Thank you Two Seasons. Thank you Pevonia Botanica!
