Ok, let’s all be frank. If I ask a roomful of women, who amongst them are confident with themselves, chances are, I won’t even get to half of the room with their hands up. Society has been pressuring us too much and has been dictating on the idea of beauty, that confidence dwindles with our self-doubt and our frustration with things.

Thing is, we need that light from within. Believing in ourselves. Looking at ourselves not using the lenses of others. Just plain appreciating ourselves for who we are, giving ourselves a pat on the back for every job well done, and forgiving ourselves for making mistakes, taking one day at a time, seeing the beauty in everything, including ourselves.

“Confidence..your new beauty mark!”
I’m glad that Tupperware Brands has come up with this campaign. I am Confidence. A beauty mark is something considered special, remember that of Marilyn Monroe? Girls would try to use black eyeliner to make that “beauty mark” ala Marilyn Monroe just to feel great about themselves. Why not make “confidence,” your special asset? I swear, this might be the most invisible thing on Earth, but this will definitely make a huge difference in your life.

How many times did you pass up on an opportunity just because you thought that you weren’t good enough to do the job? How many times did you walk with your head down low, and just feel like you’re not pretty?

Aaahhhh watch and watch and watch!!!

Our supposed national anthem, Firework!!!!

Kidding aside, Tupperware Brands is on the lookout for Ten Women of Confidence. It can be your mom who never stopped believing in you, your teacher from way back who instilled so much inspiration, or someone that you really look up to. Nominate her, give her that much deserved pat on the back, and she might just make it to the top ten!

So, who is your woman of confidence?

Mine, I would have to say, my mom. She built me up, had that unshakable faith in me, told me endless times that she believed in me and trusts in me, and always inspired me to dream and aim higher. Just being there for me during my hard times was enough to pull me through bad times, and I wouldn’t be where I am without her. My mom, is my woman of confidence. :)

For me, it would also be my mom! Oh, I can’t count the ways she always believed in me and been there for me through all the bad times! Even up to now that I still don’t have that confidence and whenever I feel so bad about myself and wished that I would be someone else, she still believes in me. Moms are really great noh? I think most people would vote for their moms. :)
