There are days when you just want to give your skin a free pass and skip on makeup, just like a Sunday. Well, you will have that during the morning and lunch at home, but when it’s time to go out to the mall, you just realize that you need to put in something even just really, really light. Makeup dependent much? Haha!

Well! I can only be envious of girls who have poreless, and flawless complexions who go out most of the time without makeup, and still looking really glowing and beautiful! I have long accepted the fact that I have pores, I have scars, and I have redness on my skin, that is why when I go out, I’ve always loved full coverage. But there are days when my nerves can’t take all that heaviness, and I just want to feast on light makeup that would make me look like I just have good skin.

Say hello to my new baby, the VMV Hypoallergenics Skintangible SPF 30. This was gifted to me by Jheng, the makeup guru over at Iambrigitte, while we were idly shopping inside the VMV Hypoallergenics store at Bonifacio High Street. She said it was a birthday gift for my thirty fifth birthday. What? I should already ask her for my fiftieth birthday gift! Hahaha! Anyway, she got one for herself, and one for me! Thank you so much Jheng, for the gift! You know how much I love foundations! ( and she herself loves them )

the shade.

Coverage is translucent, and dewy

VMV Hypoallergenics Skintangible is a sheer coverage foundation. No, not even foundation. It is somewhat a cross between tinted moisturizer and BB Cream. When we bought it, there was only one shade available. It was a bit dark for me, but hey, I can be really white at one second, and be dark, depending on the foundation used! I think my skin falls on the light to medium side that allows me to be fair, or darker when I want to! So, upon pumping for some product, I started using a stippling brush to apply it on my skin after I applied my primer. The consistency was very moist, but not sticky. It actually took a while to dry, and the finish was really dewy. It was the gorgeous dewy finish of those super models who had such good skin! I got excited with the finish as it was one of a kind. It wasn’t boring, serious matte, and it wasn’t pearly the least or glittery. It was just simply moist – kind of like having really, really healthy skin!

Wearing my skin, and Skintangible for the day.

Okay, so remembering that my skin still needs oil control, I dusted some loose powder on top of my dewy face ( sigh! if only it could look like that the entire day and not slide off or oil up! ) and headed for the mall. I felt really light, and breezy, not having to put heavy makeup on, but rather just like a watery tinted moisturizer that would just even out my skin tone. Staying power was good, it stayed on really good until I went home and washed it off. Good stuff, I tell ya.

To summarize my “findings” of the Skintangible :

* Coverage is sheer. You will probably need your concealer for your undereye darkness, your redness on some areas of your skin, and your blemishes.

* Finish is really dewy. Very healthy dewy.

* True to its name, you can see your skin. Just better-looking skin, thanks to the color of Skintangible that makes skintone even and perfect.

* Has a really good SPF ( it is 30! ) , that you can skip your sunblock.

Sundays are kept simple, the Sophie way.

I would recommend VMV Hypoallergenics Skintangible to those who have really good skin, as this will just make your already-good skin ultra gorgeous effortlessly, by just applying this! For those who have skin imperfections, this is still very much for you as the feel of the product is so light, and for your light days when you’re not afraid to show some skin, this would be the product for it. As for me, my skin’s far from perfect, but I am enjoying this product as it is a reliable product just when I can’t take too much makeup for a day!

*But just a shoutout to VMV Hypoallergenics if they can make available a lighter version of Skintangible, so that our fair ladies can be able to enjoy this dewy beauty in a bottle!

Thanks for the review!! I really want to try out VMV cosmetics soon but havent been seeing reviews like these about the brand. I’m looking for something that won’t be oily for the whole day but not too heavy and would weigh down on my face throughout the day either.

Will continue to read and wait for your reviews on other stuff :)
