When it comes to bath products, hands down, organic products win my heart big time. I love the smell of handmade soaps, and how close their smell is to nature, that I really, really enjoy my showers because of organic soaps!

Who’s the new player in the organic block? It’s Mir & Ryvi!

“We are committed to bringing you the best beauty care products that are naturally formulated and proven safe and effective, while contributing to the development of sustainable local livelihoods.”

“We have conducted intensive research across the globe, consulted with experts and carefully selected suppliers to make sure that we ony use the best plat-based ingredients and essential oils. In the Philippines, we only source our raw fruits and vegetables from organic farms, such as OCCP-certified Laguna Organic Farm and Products. We combine these extracts with other plant-based extracts from abroad, whose effects are scientifically verified and published in scientific journals.”

“We have formulated the best combination of ingredients.”

Sounds good to me! Aside from that, Mir & Ryvi is a brand not just going with the “organic bandwagon,” but really, reiterating their choice to use organic ingredients of synthetic ingredients,

We champion organic extracts not only because they are good for the environment and livelihood of the farmers but also because scientific studies show that organically grown fruits and vegetables have more nutrients than their synthetically grown counterparts. We thus continually foster long term relationships with farmers of organic products.

With that, I am much, much excited to use my products that I feel that are from freshly grown fruits! Mir & Ryvi has three of their best soaps offered to the market, which are available at Beauty Bar. They narrowed down their product line to their three best products,

tomato

Acne Cleansing Tomato Soap

The combination of organically grown tomato from the rustic farms of Laguna, certified organic anti-acne actives from the rainforests of Amazon and other skin vitamins and essential oils give you a soap that helps reduce the number of comedones and sebum activities, without the irritation.

If you are allergic to common acne cleansing bars that have benzoyl peroxide, Erythromycin or Salycllic acid, this is the natural alternative for you. Product tests reveal that 90% of users show improvements in acne-prone parts.

papaya

Skin Lightening Papaya Soap

Exposure to UV radiation and other pollutans can make skin dull and dark. Our skin lightening bar naturally helps make skin fairer. Papaya enzymes work as exfoliators. Our mulberry extract, sourced from the Jeju Island, has been clinically proven effective in inhibiting the tyrosinase activity on the skin. Tyrosinase activity is responsible for melanin production that in turn, darkens skin. The mulberry extract is highly potent yet very gentle. Our soap naturally makes skin fairer without the side effects of hydroquinone.

banana

Spot Lightening Banana Soap

As we reach the age of 30, age spots start to become visible. Skin becomes dry, less luminous, and uneven. Our beauty soap contains more lutein, potasssium, Viamin A, B complex and C. The presence of banana alone as an active in our soap has resulted in the improvement of age spots of our 23 volunteers after four months of consistent use. Our acerola extract has been clinically proven that inhibitis elastase activity ( that causes wrinkles ) and tyrosinase activity ( that causes dark spots ). We also added a high concentration of certified organic Cupuacu butter, which has been clinically tested to help restore skin elasticity.

So far, I have opened one of three of my Mir & Ryvi soaps. You can guess what I opened first – of course, the skin lightening papaya soap! I’m always for making my skin looking luminous and well-exfoliated, so this was my first choice of soap.

The Mir & Ryvi Skin Lightening Papaya Soap actually smells very “organic.” The fragrance is not overpowering, and the fragrance isn’t strong at all. In fact, the fragrance is very subtle, but pleasant. It smells a bit fruity and fresh to me. I started using it two weeks ago, and I have really enjoyed my showers with it because early in the morning, when my nerves are most whacked, I’d need some soothing, calming scents, and that means I do not like synthetic fragrances in the morning, they kill my brain and my disposition in the morning! As for long term effects, well….would I say that it is effective? Well, it’s been almost three weeks, and I notice that my skin’s looking good – a bit fairer than usual, and not looking dull at all. So yes, I think, and feel that it’s giving me good effects, that I think I will be re-purchasing another bar of this after I try the Banana Spot Lightening Soap next. For the Acne Cleansing Bar, I think I will be giving it to my baby sister who’s been having problems with comedones this early ( she’s 14, ) as I don’t think I would want her to explore the world of harsh anti-acne medications this early. I believe that I would want my sister to explore natural options in battling her skin care concerns as she’s still a baby, and Mir & Ryvi’s Acne Cleansing Soap would be perfect for that.

These bars retail for P250.00 at the Beauty Bar, and I was told by brand owner Laiden that they always get sold out so fast as there are hoarder-clients of their soaps! Well, I do encourage you to try at least a bar of Mir & Ryvi‘s soaps to experience yourself what I’m talking about! I really love this brand!

PS In lieu of this…I am giving away one set of Mir & Ryvi’s signature soaps! To win this, kindly please like Mir & Ryvi’s Facebook page and leave a comment answering this question : Which soap in Mir & Ryvi’s are you most inclined to try, and why? Let’s do this for a week, until the 25th of August! I’ll choose one winner by then!
