Summer. I’m usually speechless, or quiet about summer, as I choose to spend the time closing my eyes, feeling the warmth of the sun, hearing the crash of the waves, the whispering caresses of the wind while I’m at sea. I live for summer, I am a tropical person, I would gladly choose the beach over a cold place. I can live in the beach for the rest of my days, if I’m lucky. Being born during the Summer Solstice, the first day of summer, and the longest day of the year, it figures why I’m such a beach lover.
For Summer 2012, I am praising the sun with my new allies from Snoe Beauty. These babies have won my heart ever since I have checked their booth during the Rockwell Moonlit Bazaar last December. Now, I just find myself hoarding stuff whenever I visit their branch in Cinderella at Glorietta!
I went on a quick beach trip with my family to Mactan, Cebu during one idle weekend. Cebu is one of my favorite places, with its laid back charm, and my favorite resort, Mactan Shangri-la!
Here are my beach buddies, and let me tell you how they have helped me enjoy my summer!
Ahhh. This is the first product that made me fall in love with Snoe Beauty. I do have their new, more intense version of this called Hair Heroes Extreme which is sweetly berry-scented, but for the beach, I am more comfortable with the scent of clean coconut. The sun poses a big threat to my bleached hair, so upon getting exposed to the sun, my hair has been slathered a generous amount of this already! I try not to get my hair wet by saltwater, but when you’re in a beautiful place such as Mactan, Cebu, how can you resist? Good thing that I have this wonder conditioner with me. My hair is saved, and still feeling soft after the beach. Call it hot oil treatment on the beach. Let the sun warm my hair, as it makes my hair softer with the conditioner!
This, bluntly speaking, is a dry oil mist, I believe? I LOVE spraying this to damp hair as it dries into a nice, soft finish, and it makes me smell so, so, sooo good! The cucumber-melon scent just makes me feel so fresh and nice all day! I sprayed this also to my body, just like a tanning oil. I don’t know, I just felt like it! Skin glistening on sunshine. I find it sexy!
The beach dares you to be makeup-less and bare your best features! I say beautiful, smooch-worthy lips are in! Snoe Beauty’s Beso Balm definitely cooled down my dry lips when I was at the beach, as it moisturized and kept my lips really soft.
There was a time in my life that I would just have myself all tanned when I am at the beach. Tanning oils. Oh, I could remember my dark-skinned days, fresh from the beach. Right now, getting older, I think that my time with tanning has passed. I would rather preserve my skin, as being basked under the sun without protection would make my skin wrinkle, and get old faster. But who can resist the sun? The beach? I most certainly can’t! That’s when sunblock goes into the picture. Right now, I have tons of sunblock products in my vanity table that I never leave home without it. What more, specially being on the beach? For the beach, I’ve brought with me Snoe Beauty‘s best bet for summer, Suntervention SPF 80++.
What I love about this product is that it goes on really light on the skin, and I don’t feel icky with it. It also smells good, unlike other sunblock products that smell like weird chemicals! Mom loved this during our trip as well. This was, of course, the most used product during the trip!
Result? No burns, definitely! No wrinkly skin. Good times!
Ahhhh. Argan oil, my favorite hair oil of all time. See, I am getting redundant already as I have brought my Hair Haroes Cleansing Conditioner, and I even brought this oil with me! I would apply this to my hair after showering with Hair Heroes, applying on damp hair to make sure my hair dries softly and smoothly. Argan oil just never fails me! At home, I use this after a shower, applying on damp hair, while letting my hair air-dry. The result is amplified shine on the hair, smoothness, softness, and nourishment for my hair.
Another use of this during the vacation was when my mom was asking for a moisturizer as she forgot to bring hers! Argan oil happens to be multi-purpose, that this is an anti-aging moisturizer for the face, as well! Mom used this at night as her moisturizer, and I almost didn’t get this back because she loved it!
As sun makes our skin age, and I’m extra careful about aging and skin care right now, I definitely want damage control at the end of the day. Snoe Beauty’s Emutox is filled with powerful antioxidants that quench the skin with the much needed nutrients, and the best thing about it, is that it’s in water-like gel form, so meaning, it’s not creamy, it’s not greasy, it is so me! Hahaha! It is such a joy to apply this on my face before I apply makeup, and before I go to sleep because it disappears in an instant. Absorbent indeed. It gives my skin that slight tightening effect that makes me feel younger. Or I am just feeling old. Hahaha!
Ask me if I’m bringing my Snoe Beauty babies to my next beach destination? Of course! I would also be bringing with me, my favorite Oatmeal soap that feels like creamy milk on the skin!

For one, I do have my all-time favorite beach of all time, Boracay, with its pristine baby powder-like beach and turquoise waters, and I would love to go to Palawan very, very soon. Not really interested with beaches out of the country right now, as I believe that we have the best right here.
