Ever since my hair’s been bleached, dyed in ash blonde, and had highlights, I’ve been really trying my best to give attention to my hair. I really do not want to end up having fried blond hair that I have seen on some people, so the challenge is really keeping my hair looking soft, smooth, and shiny every single time. I really feel that I have been paying even more attention to my hair than my skin nowadays!

Argan oil seems to be the magic word nowadays in the name of hair care. My life changed the moment I tried Snoe Beauty’s Hair Heroes Intense Argan Oil Cleansing Conditioner, and moreso when I tried The Souq Organics’ pure, cold-pressed Argan Oil. I’ve given glowing reviews to the two aforementioned products because they really did work wonders. Snoe Beauty’s Hair Heroes gave my hair crazy, intense moisture that made my hair look really healthy, and The Souq Organic’s Argan Oil was sort of a supplement to my hair in keeping it moisturized, specially the ends of my hair, which are supposed to be the first parts to get damaged by hair coloring. It also helped make my hair really shiny. So the next few products that I am about to try have really big shoes to fill, don’t you think?

It was quite a lazy Sunday, when I was out with the family shopping in Landmark, Makati. The place seems to have almost everything! Anyway, one idle, but gratifying pastime of mine is just making the rounds on the beauty section of department stores, and just checking out new product offerings. It was just my luck that I my eyes zoomed in on something – on a product with argan oil. Argan Oil! My eyes zoomed in further! Organix!

they even have the Brazilian Keratin Therapy Smoothing Treatment! They have two variants – one for 14 days and one for 30 days.

organix4

they have two kinds of Argan Oil for the hair – one for dry hair, and one for those who only need light oil so as not to make their hair too greasy, for those who do not have really coarse or thick hair strands

Organix was the brand name, and it had alot of products in its mini-shelf. Argan Oil shampoos and conditioners, argan oil, and other shampoos and conditioners with their own special ingredients. They even have a Keratin treatment that would help your hair be all tamed for 14 days, and 30 days. Something to that effect of a Brazilian Blow-out, but the saleslady proudly told me that it did not contain formaldehyde, which Brazilian blow-out treatments were controversial for. Anyway, back to Organix. The brand sounded well, organic! ( duh hahaha! ) so I was most pleased to grab a bottle of the Organix Argan Oil Renewing Shampoo for my shampoo, and I skipped the conditioner to get something more intensive – their once-a-week intensive conditioner Organix Argan Oil Intensive Moisturizing Treatment. Call me moisture-crazy, but my hair is one thirsty animal! Haha! Roar!

The description, and the promise :

A unique, precious blend of Moroccan Argan Oil which instantly penetrates the hair shaft restoring shine and softness while strengthening and creating soft, seductive, silky perfection.

I love how they put the word “seductive” in the description. It always captures my attention when brands aim to change your mood when experiencing the product.

So for a run-down of what I love, and do not love about the two products, let me share them with you :

Organix Argan Oil Renewing Shampoo

The good :

- Inspecting the ingredients, there seem to be no SLS and no parabens. This is organic
- Smells good and fresh
- It cleaned my hair efficiently.
- It did not cause my hair to itch.
- It is not drying.
- Affordable at P 400 something.
- I deem it as okay-okay. The way I judge shampoos is how they clean my hair, and if they itch. Otherwise, the it’s the conditioner’s job already to do the rest!

The bad :

- But there are artificial colors, even if it is organic. I don’t know if they are natural, or not.
- The shampoo, when used alone, does not give you soft and smooth hair. With this aspect, I actually didn’t mind because almost all organic shampoos are really that way. They do not have silicones that smoothen the hair fibres, and other chemicals to do those magic, but I think that I’m okay with it.

Organix Argan Oil Intensive Moisturizing Treatment

The Good
- It was moisturizing.
- My hair looked smooth and soft upon drying.
- affordable at P 400 something.

The Bad
- For moisture-hungry hair like mine, this is not moisturizing enough. But it will work on those who have already good hair.
- I had to use alot, and I mean ALOT of product, like almost 1/6 of the pot to fully moisturize my hair. I think, in 6-8 uses, I’ll use up the entire pot.

To sum up, I deem the shampoo okay, but for the conditioner, I just think that it’s not moisturizing enough for me. Yes, it made my hair moisturized, soft, and smelling good, but I think I wanted more. My hair is really prone to damage because of its condition, and a regular conditioner just won’t do. I think that this will work for those who have normal to moderately dry hair, that are not color treated or chemically treated. I would actually recommend this to youngsters to still have not tried hair coloring, that they can take care of their hair using organic products ( hitting two birds with one stone ).

still lots of variants that I’m curious about!

Well, I told you that my hair was really demanding! I am still using this though for normal days, but I load up on Argan Oil post-washing, when my hair is damp so that it would dry into a more moisturized form. Would I repurchase? Probably the shampoo. I am sticking to my Snoe Beauty Hair Heroes for the meanwhile as it quenches my hair’s thirst for crazy, intense moisture. I would also take time to do my research on the other variants, hoping that there are other variants that are more moisturizing than this one that might be worth a try!

So, what do you think? Have you tried Organix products?

Havent tried them but for Argan oil needs, I’m also happy with Snoe already. I just got their Oil for All. I’m thinking of doing a mixture for it.

Yeah! I’ve tried Organix Product! And you are right, their shampoos and conditioner doesn’t provide enough moisture, specially for the ones who bleached their hair (did bleached my hair too! :) ) My hair felt like straw if I used it without conditioner. hehehe Although, I loved that their products smell great on my hair.

I was hoping to try their Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Oil. I’ve read good reviews about that product. :)
