MAC Cosmetics has a new home in Ayala, Cebu!

Cebu will always have that soft spot in my heart, as I have fallen in love with it the moment I landed in that lovely island (thanks, Dee!) The surroundings are very laid back and I don’t feel any stress there, the people are beautiful (I would have to insist!), the resorts are very nice ( I LOVE Mactan Shangri-la ), and most of all, it’s a food heaven there. Yes, heaven, heaven heaven is CNT and Rico’s Lechon, Cafe Laguna, and so much more!

But now, it is slowly becoming a heaven for beauty lovers, as MAC Cosmetics had their official launch last Thursday there! I am so sure that alot of Cebuanos/Cebuanas were really excited about this as I have friends from there who love MAC Cosmetics and still buy them from Manila, and even abroad. Now, they don’t need to leave their homebase to get their beauty fix! I’m so happy for Cebu, I’m so happy for beauty lovers in Cebu!

Now, I need to thank MAC Cosmetics for taking me and Shen with them during their launch in Cebu to join their celebration! That also marked the day of the official launch of MAC Cosmetics’ Holiday Collection – Glitter & Ice. Let me tell you about the event through photos, shall we?

Okay, fast forward a few hours, as we headed to the launch, I was greeted by the new, beautiful spankin` MAC Cosmetics makeup counter! Oh yeah!

that bare counter was only like that for the first few minutes we arrived. Boy, was the place packed not only with guests, but with customers shopping here and there also! The three makeup artists of MAC Cebu were sooo busy!

Here is Raine, new makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics Cebu. She’s one of the bloggers I have met months ago when I went to Cebu for a vacation! Well, she gave up her blog for this career, and I can see that she is very fulfilled!

Khymm, ( left) one of the first beauty bloggers in the Philippines, has also given up her blogging for her career as a makeup artist for MAC Cebu. Okay, I asked her to do that smoochie pose as I love that pose! Joining her is Hollie of Redberryaha, and Shen, whom I asked to pose candidly also!

I consider the event really grand as there were skaters that depicted the peg of Glitter & Ice -

futuristic. I love it!

Owen Sarmiento, renowned makeup artist (I’ve seen his magazine covers – FABULOUS) and trainor for MAC Cosmetics, also held a demo on how to use some items from the collection -

The event was also graced by one of the most in-demand and top makeup artists in the Philippines, Jigs Mayuga, and one of the top models here in the Philippines, also columnist and actress Kelly Misa.

I was also able to meet the fabulous fashion and beauty bloggers of Cebu. I have corresponded with some of them via social networking sites, and I am so glad to have finally meet them in the flesh!

Now, let me end this entry by sharing with you what Shen and I love doing – taking photos of each other. Hahaha!

Shen’s beautiful lips made me buy the Holiday Lip Kit which had the Creme d Nude Cremesheen Lipstick there. She just wore it and kept on talking and I was so distracted I couldn’t hear what she was saying, with me getting distracted with the lipcolor that she just tried. and oh, she is holding a red boxful of yummy oatmeal cookies given to us by Pearl!!!

I deem this to be Shen’s best shot, I think this can pose as a print ad for MAC ! Hahaha! Shen has been more than checking out all of the items in the store! It’s our beauty wonderland, after all!
