As I love organic bath products so much, let me just say that I’m a huge Venus and Mars Naturals fan. I’ve seen them grow from a startup brand joining bazaars into a skin care brand that people really trust. Their unique ingredient, emu oil, is indeed a wonder oil that it has countless benefits, being anti-inflammatory, and a wound-healing ingredient. It also does not clog pores, which is great for acne-prone skin.

As Emu Oil (rare as it is as its source is from Australia ) is a wonder ingredient in skin care, Venus and Mars have formulated their products revolving around this wonder ingredient. They have hair products, soaps, and body products. I’ve been using their line for sometime now, and let me introduce to you to a new love of mine – their Bare It All Emu Cream.

Bare It All Emu Body Cream is specially formulated to smoothen and whiten the roughest and darkest skin areas. Shea butter, jojoba oil and mango butter are known to be the best moisturizing elements from nature. Just imagine how good these can be when mixed with EMU OIL, the ONLY natural oil that is closest to the human oil components. It also penetrates 5x faster than any other natural oil! This could be the holy grail of body creams!

This product also has papain, a powerful whitening extract. The peppermint content is sure to give you a relaxed mood that’s enough to ditch all day’s (or even the brewing!) stress.

Bare It All Emu Cream is available in two variants – the regular one, and the mentholated one. Of course, you can guess that I have chosen the mentholated variant as I am such a fan of anything minty. So there, I have a tub of lavender-colored body cream.

What do I think about it? Well first, I love the smell! The smell is nothing fancy-synthetic-phoney, as it smells very relaxing and very natural. I actually found myself sniffing on the tub for no reason like an idiot. Haha! Second, well, as I applied it on my elbows and knees, it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy at all ( which are major pet peeves of mine ) and it gets absorbed easily into my skin. Last but not the least, the minty after-feel is just amazing that it lasts for more than a few minutes or so, that being in an airconditioned room makes me more chilly and just all relaxed and sleepy!

As for its whitening and moisturizing effects, to be honest, I haven’t seen any whitening effects, nor have I been paying attention. I think I need more time to see if this actually lightens my dark areas ( which are my elbows and knees ). For moisturizing effects, I’m actually happy with it. Applying it on my feet, which might be the driest and most harassed part of my body, I felt my feet soften after using this for weeks. Results-wise, I’m not in the position to vouch for its whitening qualities, but texture-and-happiness wise, I am happy with this product as it makes my skin smooth and supple, and it feels like heaven!

Well, it’s not exactly cheap at P350 for a small tub, and P 500 for a bigger tub, but I find more value in this having really rich, and beneficial ingredients that Venus and Mars does not scrimp on. I can definitely feel the smoothening factor of this product. If you’re really into whitening, then maybe 10-20 drops of their CPCG essence mixed into this cream will speed up the whitening process. I highly recommend this to those who are fond of minty lotions that can help give them that much needed hydrated and smooth body feel!
