Beautynomics Review : Pure Beauty Makeup Removers

blog2

Mandom Cleansing Express AgeCare Cleansing Lotion

It’s my absolute HG makeup remover brand in the whole wide world. It removes makeup really effectively, and it feels like heaven on my skin. What’s heaven for me? Water. Hahaha! It feels like water on my skin and yet it can remove all the makeup on my face. Enough said.

But then, it’s not readily available in the Philippines ( sniff ). I hoarded around 3 bottles during my Japan trip (because they were all that’s left on the shelves), and bought one bottle from Watson’s Singapore last year, and now, as you can see in the photo, it’s almost wiped out. As Singaporeans ask, “so how?” (and we translate it, “pano na?”)

Well, during the recent Watson’s Beauty Lab event wherein we were given the chance to try the latest products offered by Watson’s, I was eyeing the makeup removers because I saw something with the word “water.” Well, apparently, Watson’s own Pure Beauty brand launched three new makeup remover products!

Bathe in Bliss With Marks and Spencer ‘s Floral Heritage Moisture Rich Foaming Bath Essence

blog1

ahhh I needed to sprinkle more water to make it look “wet” hahahaha!

I am such a huge lover of aromatherapy that I don’t mind to smell like aromatherapy oil or fragrances. I am so in love aromatherapy scents that they’re the scents I truly prefer – I was mesmerized with Ellen’s Aesthetic Center’s Day Spa area as the floor smelled of nothing but rose oil, I didn’t seem to want to leave the bath area of Shangri-la Mactan’s Health Club as all its toiletries – from shampoo, conditioners, body wash, to hand wash gels smelled of fresh, fresh lemongrass, and I must admit to spritz my bedding with lavender-scented pillow mists from Earth Therapeutics.

Well, one fine day when I was about to buy my mom some of her favorite Magnolia bath products in Marks and Spencer, my eyes roamed in its big selection of bath and body products. But then, two words caught my attention – lavender, and rose. Hahaha! Yes, I proceeded to smell products from each scent to detect if they smelled phoney or tolerable, and the verdict was – they smelled just great! Continue reading

Celeteque Launches DermoScience Skin Care Line

Complete Céleteque DermoScience Range

ahhh!!! too much! but not complaining!!!

My eyes widened with utmost surprise and awe, as I learned that Unilab just recently launched its new, massive line ( take note : alottttt of products! ) called DermoScience. True to its name, the skin care line is co-developed with top dermatologists. Now, being quite particular with skin care products, the word “dermatologist” got my attention.

UNILAB introduces Celeteque DermoScience : a fusion of new skin active ingredients, technologies, and dermatologist-derived solutions for specific beauty concerns. It merges UNILAB’s medical expertise with dermatological advances to develop products that are clinically tested to deliver results.

I think you got dizzy with the crazy lineup of products above. I know, I got confused myself, too. This has got to be alot of products, but on the brighter side, it seems that Celeteque DermoScience is something that will address to almost every skin care need. The six skin care lines are offered are customized for different skin conditions :

Who Wants To Meet Angelica Panganiban In Person?

Bali photo big

I DO I DO I DO!

Oh my gosh, the beauty bloggers can attest to how I was so starstruck with the very beautiful Angelica Panganiban during the Pond’s White Beauty Naturals launch. She was a breath of fresh air, so ethereal, much looking like a beautiful fairy that night. Her skin was just so fair, and smooth, and it glowed because it was so poreless! She claims that she uses Pond’s White Beauty Naturals as she loves the light feel on the face, and the smoothening and softening effects of it, much to the liking of the loverbeau, Derek Ramsay!

Now, as Pond’s knows that alot of girls would just love to have the chance to meet and greet Angelica Panganiban, they have just created a Facebook Application, that you can enjoy using, and even have the chance to meet Angelica Panganiban in person!

Well, to do just that, head on to Pond’s Philippines’ Facebook Page, and add the application named “Come Face to Face With Angelica”, as the mechanics are revealed,

My Three Product Loves From My Recent Travel

Last weekend when I was in Cebu, I really, really decided to pack light (as a challenge) as I brought with my travel-sized versions, and really indispensable full-sized versions of my favorite products. Well Amongst the products that I have brought with me, three products definitely stood out, and let me just share you with them.

travel1

1. Obagi Condition and Enhance Gentle Cleanser

This travel-sized version of Obagi’s skin care line is surely a winner, and a reliable travel companion. I have been stressed several times when I try to put in my favorite Obagi Clenziderm facial wash inside my luggage only to open my luggage with it having somewhat spilled some of the contents ). This is a mild facial wash alright, and it smells sooo great that I am currently addicted to how nice it smells! It’s mild but deep cleansing, so my skin was spared from breakouts and odd skin problems I encounter while I travel ( like blackheads sprouting from nowhere, and such ). This is great for dry skin, normal skin, and even oily skin. It doesn’t leave the skin tight, after washing, which I feel is good, but I feel that my skin is really clean after. I really find this a precious travel must-have. I love this! I’m keeping this travel-sized baby for my next travel, I promise!

My Pamper Day at Ellen’s Aesthetic Center

IMG_0409

I knew it. This bathtub was waiting for me. Haha!

It was one lazy Saturday that I was feeling the need for pampering and de-stressing, that I entered Ellen’s Aesthetic Center for a day’s worth of pampering. To be honest, Ellen’s exuded that “old” feel that mature people would walk in to, because it’s been the oldest, if not, one of the oldest aesthetics/facial center in the country, boasting of 30 years in the market already. I honestly did not know what to expect, but I was open to experience anything ( like – wow me! )

Janice of Ellen’s Aesthetic Center had the day planned for me for a day’s worth of pampering and experiencing what Ellen’s Aesthetic Center was all about. First was an Ofuro Akasuri Treatment which was a relaxing beauty bath, with some body scrubbing that claimed to get rid of all the “libag” ( or a trial translation in English would be “skin dirt” or skin debris” ) on the skin surface. Well, I was so game for it! I was asked to change in a bathrobe, and escorted into this room, which had a shower bath, a flat bed, and ultimately, a bath tub!

Beautynomics Adventures : Cebu !!!

Last weekend was just a blast, as I spent it going to one of my favorite local destinations – Cebu!

I was just so drained from work that I needed a break, that I was so happy that a friend was also seeking the same, fun, relaxing weekend, that we decided to book this trip.

IMG_0540

This girl clearly needs a vacation, don’t you think? oh, my favorite San Francisco flats by Anthology. BUTTERY SOFT!

Here’s me without makeup, wearing shades to hide all my traces of stress. Yes, wearing shades really help hide you from the world, sometimes, specially when travelling! I love it!

I was looking like that the morning I was bound for Cebu, and my first few hours in Cebu. But then, I had beautiful agendas that day that required me to doll up, so… Continue reading

Beautynomics Makeover : Myself

curly1

Oh, I just love being a girl. Doing makeup, playing dress up, and oh, shopping! Can’t I thank the Lord for I was born female this lifetime?

Yes, this blog Beautynomics was born because of my budding love for beauty – may it be skin care, body care, and even makeup, I just love them all, and the topics just shift from my mood, in whatever I’m getting interested it at a point in time.

I do have a confession to make to all of you. My makeup skills come out when I feel really stressed, or I’m not feeling too good about myself. There just comes the need to look good to somehow appreciate yourself, and finally, be happy! It’s like putting on some killer lens that you see the world in a brighter, and cooler way. So as I was really swamped with work this week ( oh, so much! ) and I wasn’t feeling too pretty lately, I’ve decided to go to the House of Obagi event all dolled up. Of course, House of Obagi is one of my favorite establishments, as well as Obagi, the brand, so what reason is there for me not to look my best? I also needed to feel good about myself, so there, I spent an hour or so in front of my bathroom fixing up, having a personal makeover, courtesy of me! I love those moments!

Forever 21 SM Makati 3-Day Sale!

F21_AUG.SALE

I have a confession – I don’t frequent Forever 21 because the two branches are far from where I live, and there were times that when I’d try to shop there, I’d still come out empty-handed. The fashion selection is really great, but I was just trying to find something that’s me – something that I’ve also been trying to figure out because I really have no fashion sense, and I am still trying to find my way to my fashion identity.

But then, as I was picking up this pair of pants that I was eyeing as Jane Kingsu of Forever 21 wore it to the Watson’s Beauty Lab launch, I wasn’t prepared to see that almost all the selections right now at Forever 21 was simply….crazy! Animal prints ( ooh, I love! ), sheer tops, sheer bottoms, and really pretty and feminine dresses! As I was in a hurry, I managed to quickly decide on a sheer top and checkout as soon as I can. Now, I’m totally regretful that I don’t get to be in Manila for the 3-day sale of Forever 21 in SM Makati this weekend!

Now, for all of you who are in Manila, I’m pretty much encouraging you to check out Forever 21 SM Makati’s selections this weekend as they have their 3-day sale.

I am going to somewhere I love this weekend, and I am somewhat wishing that I booked this on a different date! I swear, the selections this time are LOVE! Make sure you get your fix and tell me about it!

Happy almost-weekend, everyone!

What’s New : NYX Pump It Lip Plumpers

image006

Before, lip plumpers reminded me of Jessica Simpson.

As of late, they’ve been screaming Megan Fox ( circa Transformers 2 ), as Rosie Huntington-Whitely didn’t seem to need them. Haha!

But really, lip plumpers give me the constant reminder to be kinder to my lips and moisturize them with a little more effort than I usually do, because well-moisturized lips are a pre-requisite for using these babies to achieve a beautiful pout!

Drugstore makeup giant NYX Cosmetics recently launched the Nyx Lip Plumper, promising to transform even the thinnest lips into the fullest, pucker-worthy pout. Oh wow!
