While everyone’s enjoying the chilly, snuggly rainy weather, let me share with you something about my beach trip last week. Boracay has got to be my favorite beach in this entire planet, and I’d gladly go back to the island every time I can. Well, when I was there, it was rainy, but I was so glad to be spared for a few days of radiant sunshine! Call me lucky, my Independence Day weekend theory still is valid. Proof? My tan. My next posts will surely reveal how tanned I am right now from my Boracay trip!
Anyway, I’m writing this blog entry to share with you an amazing product discovery. With my newly colored hair, I have tried to be extra careful to maintain it. I do have my hair products just for colored hair just like Pureology and Kerastase, but knowing that my scalp is ultra sensitive, I usually stick to Physiogel Shampoo on a daily basis, and just condition my hair using an intensive hair masque daily. But for the beach, that’s altogether another story!

Beachgoers, when they see me, might think that I’m the vainest person on Earth, as they see me furiously spraying sunblock and tanning spray on my body, and to their surprise, they also see me furiously spraying something on my hair. They might think it’s hairspray, but heck, why would I spray on hairspray under the glaring sun? I’m not about to commit hair suicide!

Say hello to my new discovery – Watson’s Purebeauty Treatment Essence Water with Camellia Seed Oil ( from Japan ) . Camellia Seed Oil? Google it further, and you see a wide variety of benefits that this wonder ingredient gives. It is not only highly penetrating and quick absorbing, it also effectively bounces off UV rays and gives you maximum moisture! This product also has an oil variant, but oil-phobic Sophie prefers water over oil, for sure. I use this as a hair mist, spraying it to my hair when I feel that my hair is dry, or just to get that refreshing feeling mid-day. I brought this with me to the beach to help my hair against the torturing effects of the sun and seawater- I would not want to go back to Manila with fried and damaged hair!
I’ve brought this baby with me to the beach at all times and religiously sprayed it to my hair everyday when I was in Boracay, and let me just say that it indeed made a difference. Whenever I’d shower, my hair wouldn’t feel sticky and “harassed.”. Upon shampooing, my hair would feel really soft and slippery already, like I had hair conditioner on my hair. I had a makeshift-hot-oil-session while on the beach, with my hair infused with moisturizing water, and heated by the sun! Oh, what more with my intensive hair masque that I apply after shampooing? My hair was just doing great during my beach trip! Oh, I just love this product!
Upon returning to my home sweet home, I immediately checked my hair in front of the mirror for signs of wear and tear ( admit it, the sun does kill your hair color, and bathing in seawater does not help, either! ). I would have to say that my hair felt very soft, although a bit poofy, it was spared from crazy damage. I’m just so happy to have found a gem of a product with Purebeauty Treatment Essence Water with Camellia Seed Oil . I’ve already restocked this baby for my everyday hair-luvin`, and I highly recommend to everyone this product. I think it retails for around P 260+, reasonably priced, if you ask me. It’s a great addition to my hair care routine that I would not mind exerting some effort ( financial + real effort ) as it really does good for my hair. Oh, did I mention that it smells heavenly ? Totally. This is really a hair mist material that you can even spritz when you’ve just come from a highly ventilated place and your hair smells like…(insert something that does not smell good on hair here.)
Oh, we shall never be parted. So I suggest that you go get one for yourself, and enjoy taking care of your hair! Because really, I do!
