During a fun shopping spree with Shen and Jheng, we stumbled into one of our favorite stores, The Body Shop just before we exit the mall. I curiously picked up a tube of The Body Shop’s Moisture White Shiso BB Cream. With a good discount ( I think, P200 off? ), I quickly purchased it for mom, who is fond of tinted moisturizers – as I would associate BB creams with tinted moisturizers – BB creams are just heavier. I always liked The Body Shop products, but I particularly like the Moisture White Shiso line ( it’s reaalllyyy good, I promise! ) I’m not a BB cream person, but then, fate brought me and this product together, as I was looking for something light to apply on my skin after my skin has peeled as an effect of the Obagi Blue Peel.
Let me keep this short, and sweet.
The Body Shop’s Moisture White Shiso BB Cream is the only BB cream that…
….I trust my skin with, as I normally do not wear BB creams as I believe they do clog pores more than heal the skin (a real hell-raiser for oily skinned girls, much more with open pores!)
….I have used more than twice, and keep on using when I need to be presentable, and yet I do not want to put on too much makeup.
….makes my skin look silky, satiny smooth.
Yes, I really do love The Body Shop’s Moisture White Shiso BB Cream. Its unique packaging makes me feel secure that it is not just another regular BB cream, and it is the first time that I felt that my pores were not clogged, in any way, as I can confidently wear this on my face for an entire day. If you ask me if it oils up on me – yes, it does, but only after 4-5 hours, and as a general rule for those who have oily skin – after applying BB creams, or any liquid foundations, we are most encouraged to pat our skin matt with a dusting of pressed powder for coverage, or just a translucent oil control powder to keep oilies at bay.

I’ll let my photo do the talking. I only applied a pea-sized amount of The Body Shop Moisture White BB Cream to achieve results like this. This photo was taken with a speedlight, so a slight grayish cast is still there. But then, not too noticeable on my end. I have set the BB cream with a light dusting of Colorescience Pressed Pigment, some blush, and I’m good to go!
How about you, do you like this product? I’d like to hear from you!

Hi Thia! I’m not a fan of BB creams, either, but this one just made me feel “safe” about trying it, and I only applied a small amount, which didn’t clog my pores, luckily
So I think this is one of the good ones.:)
I’ve been thinking of getting this but it’s a bit expensive for something I’m not sure my skin will like in the long run. For now, I’m settling for the Myra E Tinted Moisturizer…
