Here’s the continuation of my Obagi Blue Peel experience. Read on for my downtime diary!

Day 4
Its morning and skin is still very much tight and there is no additional peeling! Wah!
Oh wait, I spoke too soon! After helping out prepare for lunch, and washing my face, my skin has indeed peeled some more – more on the sides of my mouth, and around the nose area. The rest of my face is still very tight, and as you can see in the photo, as I try to make a facial expression, I really look scary!
The peeling is definitely the thickest that I’ve ever encountered. Comparing it with my usual PCA Skin Peels wherein the peeling just looks like a thin, thin film, this one is thick, just like when you scar or when you accidentally peel off your skin from an accident – yes, and I’m getting excited how fresh, and new my skin will be as it unravels in the next few days!

DAY 5
On day 5, skin definitely started to crack and peel around the mouth and the nose area. I am really, really trying to stop myself from the irresistible action of peeling off my face to end my crusty crab state, but I risk pulling raw, wounded skin and it might hurt even more! With that,I resort to using my mini scissors to cut around the edges to prevent myself from pulling the loose ends. Ahh! More skin is being revealed and I am getting excited!
Good thing that I stayed indoors for my entire staycation – as I would apply sunblock minimally. If I were to be out, I would need to reapply sunblock every two hours!

Day 6, Monday
Monday and it’s back to work again. Thing is, I still can’t believe my skin hasn’t fully peeled! My skin has definitely peeled around the nose area ( almost nearing the cheek area ), the chin area, and the upper lip area. Whenever I’d smile, I’d feel some discomfort from the “cracks” as there is already a contrast of soft, new skin ( but still somewhat raw ) , and cracking, dry, old skin. There is a bigger surface area of peeled skin, and it feels raw. I’m excited for my new skin to be revealed, as I am hinted by baby soft skin. Gosh, I think that I am getting to love Obagi Blue Peel!
I’m still working indoors, so application of sunblock was minimal.
Day 6, and it’s time for the forehead to peel on its own. I’m getting more and more excited as new skin is revealed, and whenever I’d touch it ( though sparingly ) it just feels so soft to the touch, and seemingly, fairer! I’m starting to hate the crumbly old skin left that it creates a weird contrast on my skin, thank God that I just work for our family business and I haven’t gone out of the house for two days. But today, my mom and dad and I were going outdoors, so I had to apply more sunblock, and reapply after two hours. I kept covering my face, hiding it against the unmerciless rays of the summer sun, and good thing, I did not burn at all. At the end of Day 6, I just cannot wait for my skin to peel entirely off all the old skin. Please , old skin, it’s time to go!
Well, it’s been a week already, and I’m really happy with my skin. The pores are significantly tighter, my face looks brighter, and I like wearing my face bare – just a few marks from my previous breakouts, nothing that concealer can’t hide. But then, I still dream of having really perfect skin that I don’t need any makeup. Well, I would have to be religious in visiting my dermatologist, and be an obedient patient then!
I’m updating in a week’s time about my new skin , as it takes 6-8 weeks to see better results with the Obagi Blue Peel! I’m going back to the House of Obagi this week to have my skin cleaned from the impurities that surfaced from the peel. Yes, my skin really is an oilmine.
What do you think?
