Well, what happened after Smurfette Sophie has undergone the Obagi Blue Peel Challenge? What happened the days after? Would you like to know? Well, I’ve compiled a daily diary of sorts of how I felt during the days after I had my treatment, I hope you enjoy reading!
Now, bear with me as it is my first time to bare my skin in my blog. I’ve always disclosed ( and somehow complained ) that my skin is oily, blemish-prone, large-pored with some icepick scars from stubborn-ness from puberty. My skin also came fresh from cleaning and pricking as it’s been so dirty for months already. So, bear with me. Haha!

Day 1
Application Day. Not painful after, and while eating at Pho Hoa, it was just ok. Slight sting on my upper lip.

Day 2
I woke up to tight skin. I can see that my undereyes are getting really dry /wrinkled– and I’m beginning to look old. There are still traces of blue on my skin, sinking inside my pores. Skin is starting to get really tight. Slight sting on my cheekbones ( it always stings there when I peel ). Skin is really tight and it looks like I’m semi-wrinkling. Can’t wait for tomorrow! I find the tightness as I try to raise my eyebrows. I am supposed to go easy, and restrict myself from making big/wild facial expressions, as if my skin cracks and the skin beneath it is still not totally healed or ready to surface, it might cause premature hyperpigmentation. A promise that I should really try not to peel my skin.
I slathered a generous amount of sunblock despite staying indoors. My skin did not oil up a bit.

Day 3
I woke up touching my nose feeling like a prune to me. I checked myself at the mirror – blue tint was still there, and my skin just got more wrinkly. No pain. There was more pronounced wrinkling on my forehead, under my eyes, and at the sides of my mouth. Whenever I smile, I’d feel like a grandma, with super pronounced laugh lines. It gets harder to make any big facial expression, fearing that my skin can crack as warned by the dermatologist. Jheng and I were itching to put eye cream on our undereyes because of the tightness, but are trying to hold off doing that.
I’m feeling a soft comedone underneath the peeling skin, on my chin. Looks like I ned to rush to House of Obagi after a week for some cleaning as some impurities might surface.
At night, my skin was getting unbelievably tight- just like applying the Nu Skin Facelift before. I think Im on the verge of peeling. I’m so excited to peel!
Well, stay tuned for more updates as new skin abouts to unravel itself! I’m so excited!
