How’s this for Easter egg hunting for the beauty addicts? haha!

With the relaxing, and yet contemplative weekend that just passed, I don’t even know if I’m ready to face the work week ahead of me. But well, I must, I must! We all have seasons to reach for the stars, we also have the right time to slow down and just have that luxury to rest!

Yesterday was Easter Sunday, and boy, do I have really fond memories of painting Easter eggs, and that really fun Easter egg hunting! Now that I’m all grown up ( heehee am I really? ) , I have my own Easter eggs to play with – in the form of these three lovely EOS lipbalms!

EOS Lipbalms are just so cute! Unconventionally shaped like an egg, you open them, revealing a sphere-like lipbalm. EOS Lipbalms are delightfully 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Organically delightful, they also happen to be the “it” lipbalm as of late, as Hollywood stars are currently spotted using them in public ( say, Ed Westwick of Gossip Girl, for one? )

EOS Lipbalms, opened

Product-wise, the key ingredients of the EOS lipbalms are the antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil. They sound very, very good. But how to they fare on Sophie’s very, very demanding chapped lips?

Well, let me start by telling you about the texture. As I slathered EOS Lipbalm on my lips, it felt very light on my lips, a far cry from thick, petroleum-based lipbalms that feel somewhat greasy ( but as if I don’t patronize them anyway, sometimes they actually do a great job that I don’t mind the heavy feel! ). As for how it healed my lips? It actually did a decent job maintaining the moisture on my lips. My lips definitely needed reapplication everyday to maintain good, soft lips, and I would have to say that the strong point of this product is on how light it feels on the lips. For the effectiveness of the product, it does its job alright, but not exactly one miracle product that would erase all your hopeless chapped lips problems away. You’d definitely need to use this everyday to maintain your good, soft lips. So far, I have been enjoying using mine for weeks already!

I have three flavors with me, and I love all three of them!

The Summerfruit variant keeps your warm summers fun with a fresh, peachy flavor!

The Honeysuckle variant plays it cool with a sweet, sweet flavor of the fruit mentioned.

The Cool Mint variant, on the other hand, is my favorite amongst the bunch, as it gives you that cool, minty feel on the lips. And the minty feeling stays!

Ask me if I’m keeping them, and repurchasing them? Oh yes ( specifically on the Cool Mint variant ) , you bet I am! I find the light feel on the lips too much of an advantage of this product, as well as the size – it’s big! I am thinking how many tubes of lipbalms I’ve lost because of their tiny sizes – this one’s visible, and cute that would unconsciously whip up some effort on me to keep them with me all the time!

I’ve always wanted one of these, but I think it’s too pricey just for a lip balm… Glad to know they’re worth it.
