I must admit that I have found my Holy Grail product with another mascara already, loving it so much that I offer it in my online store. But then, being a beauty blogger entails roadtesting products here and there, and being open about new products in the market. So, tell me, how am I supposed to resist the latest cult brand Majolica Majorca’s Lash Expander Frame Plus Mascara?
Earning raves, and raves, and raves from the beauty blogosphere, and the beauty forums, this compelled me to have this for a roadtest, and be somehow confident that it wouldn’t fail me as well. I’ve been phobic through and through about mascaras that they smudge on me, and I get really bad panda-eyes within hours of application. Blame me. My skin’s the oiliest on earth, and all the products I use are really heavy duty, making sure that I don’t make a mess out of my face within the day. Well, I gave this a chance, to see what good it can give me!
First, let me tell you that I love the packaging. Black and gold’s one of my favorite color combos, and it makes me feel like royalty * much like a wand, actually * holding this whimsy-looking mascara. Opening it, I see a comb applicator, deviating from the usual mascara wands. New mascara nowadays have deviated from the usual “mascara wand” type, and have devised their own ergonomics of applicators that they deem the best for lashes. In this case, it’s a comb-like one!
The Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus Mascara contains fibers to further lengthen lashes, and dense wax for intensity. I’m quite excited about how my lashes would look like after the application! On we go!
As I started applying the Lash Expander Mascara on my just-curled eyelashes, I was carefully semi-wiggling, and semi-combing it from lashline to the tips, to give my lashes the needed thickness, and keep my lashes clump-free. I was getting surprised at how long my lashes got “extended, while struggling to keep it clump-free. I think I need more practice!
After the application, and letting it dry ( just a quick few seconds! ) I was already set. I was shocked at how long my eyelashes were, much looking like false eyelashes ! I was satisfied on how beautiful, and surreal my lashes were – almost looking like a Japanese doll, as I was set for my dinner engagement! Now, the roadtest is on, with the Lash Expander‘s staying power, and smudge-proof properties!
I wouldn’t tell much, but I’ll let you see my lashes 5 hours after my dinner, when I’m all tired and ready to remove all my makeup.

Amazing, isn’t it? It stayed there, it held the curls quite nicely, and I still love my long, doll-like lashes!
As for the removal part – it’s the part where I dread most, as waterproof mascaras are sure of a pain to remove! I got my Mandom Express Facial makeup remover ( something water-based ), pumped some liquid onto a cotton pad, and patiently sandwiched my lashes in between my folded cotton pads, slowly pulling out product. It took me a good 5 minutes to remove them. It wasn’t really easy. The price you pay for beautiful lashes that stays loyal to you and makes you look good! I think that I would like to try Majolica Majorca’s Eye Reset Gel that is the supposed partner of the mascaras for easier removal next time. I’m considering it!
To sum up, Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus Mascara is affordable ( at P 795! ), gives you doll-like lashes ( check out mine, above! ), does not smudge, does not weigh down your lashes as it holds the curls quite well, and is incredibly water-proof! Removing it might pose a challenge, but try out Majolica Majorca’s Eye Reset Gel for that purpose!
I’d use this, definitely, when I’m in the mood to impress, or dazzle everyone with good makeup! I love this!
I’ve heard , and read alot about this one. The Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus is waterproof, and smudge-proof, and gives extends your lashes like false eyelashes, and holds the curl pretty well!

i have to say that looks amazing!
MM mascaras are amazing!
but then i think most japanese mascaras are!
my utter fave mascaras are fiberwig & mm lash enamel neo! if i use them together i can have that full-lashes that can last for a week!
LOL!
but as for the price i don’t think i can say that it’s affordable though. i mean speaking as an ordinary average-earning citizen..hehe
shelling out 795 for a product that can only be used for 3 months is a luxury already, but since it is well-worth it. i can save up for it,right?
^_^
Whoa super long lashes!!! I want
ok now i really want this! your lashes look gorgeous. i think that the mascara does its work even though its so hard to remove.
*A* Ah it really looks so nice. I should get a chance to buy it when I’m not broke ;3; There’s also another asian Mascara that I’ve heard raves about. It’s the Kiss Me Heroine Make Me Long and Curly (I think) I saw it on the wehaveit43 shop and read about it at lotuspalace.blogspot.com Though having 3 mascaras would be excessive!!! >w< Ah well just in case you might be interested to review that too.
Wow! Looks amazing, but it’s too pricey for an average gal like me…hehe
Hi Thia! I think I have labelled it as affordable already, maybe because it’s a Japanese brand, and under Shiseido. I think that’s how I described it, relative to other Japanese brands, and moreso, luxury brands
…and, my rule for mascaras? don’t dispose til they clump up ( give it close to a year, I think ) I have my Blinc mascara that lasts me more than 6 months, and still manages to fare well on me, so I would consider it money spent!
Kat : That sounds great! But yeah, having three mascaras can be excessive. If your rule is one mascara every three months, then you can always chance every three months!
Aya, Hollie and Bea : if you get the chance, grab hold of it! I was shocked with the effect myself!
also check out the fiberwig mascara from the US. Does the same thing. Its what I use.
