Nikki and I, we became friends in the most unusual setting, and circumstance. We were schoolmates ( proud Judenites, yeah! ) that never met in school, and we only met through our blogs, with Nikki being friendly and generous with her good vibes thru commenting in blogs. We started being close when I got back from my studies in Singapore, and the rest was history. She is my favorite email-mate, text-mate, and phone chat-mate, and I truly consider her one of the closest friends I have right now, sharing my happy times, secrets, and even problems. Looks like eldest-daughter Sophie has found a sister *smiles*
Like I’m proud of my friends who have created waves in the blogging industry ( not just beauty, but most of my close friends are! ), it gives me so much pride that Nikki is one of the most esteemed beauty bloggers in the country. Even with that stature, she remains humble. She is definitely beyond a beauty blogger. She is such a good wife to Ahia Keith, a good daughter to her parents, and a very, very good friend. I just feel so lucky to have her in my life! She can be so hyper in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening, while I slowly sink into drained-ness by the end of the day, and this energizer bunny is still bright and shiny to cheer me up!
When Pond’s called us to bring a friend for a mysterious dinner as they wouldn’t disclose us what it was about, Nikki and I paired up together. That evening, they announced the Pond’s Flawless White Unbeaten Challenge, in which friends will work in pairs, one being the blogger, and one will try the entire Pond’s Flawless White range for 14 days. I agreed to be the document-er, while Nikki agreed to roadtest Pond’s, as she was challenged, indeed, if Pond’s can match her high-end skin care regimen. I’m really excited for the both of us, as I am just so happy writing about her experience! I will be using the Pond’s Flawless White line alongside Nikki, but I will be chronicling it here. Stay tuned, as well!
