A Browhaus Experience

If there’s one feature in my face that I’m quite particular about, it must be my eyebrows. It’s the first feature I look at ( sorry! teehee ), and I think eyebrows just make or break your look.

Sept 2007. My virgin eyebrows!!!!

I remember my first ever blog event that I documented – looking at my eyebrows- que horror! All thick, and all over the place! When I realized that my brows were bad news, and ruined my entire look ( there is nothing worse than a good eye makeup, and good over all makeup look with ungroomed eyebrows ruining it! ), I started having them groomed by having periodic threading sessions from the salons I frequent.

Once I was given the chance to be educated on shaping my eyebrows thru makeup school, I quickly took the chance to apply it on myself, and eventually, I began shaping my own eyebrows. It’s been a while since I’ve been doing that, actually. But then, I kinda missed my brows being groomed by another. Haha!

My Ventosa Experience at Ascend

27032011564

pardon the picture! I was dizzy as I hurriedly took this photo!

Let me tell you about my weekend.

Last weekend, specifically Saturday, M and I decided to treat ourselves to some relaxation by doing to the spa. We decided to used our coupons, and we were just so excited because this certain spa was housed in a hotel/luxury suites that with the reputation of that place, the spa would be at par, and give us a wonderful experience. We were much satisfied with Antel Spa Suites’ Toccare Spa, and this one looked quite promising.

In a span of an hour and a half, I was just glad that it was over. The therapist seemed to be lacking strength, she was able to detect a sore spot on my left shoulder, and she just couldn’t seem to be able to handle it well. My night ended in total disappointment, with me vowing to myself that I’d never go back there again. Too bad that the room was really fancy – with a private, beautiful bathroom, and even a jacuzzi! Looking at their services menu, you will never ever make me pay that kind of amount for such kind of service. Good thing we bought coupons at a substantial discount.

Contests, Here and There!

March is just a lovely, lovely month, as there are lots of blogs, and brands celebrating and being generous, giving away prizes!

Starting in my turf, Beautynomics is giving away loads of prizes, for its 5th Year Anniversary, and contest ends end of March! I encourage each one of you to join, as the prizes are really drool-worthy!

Golla, on the other hand, is inviting you to know more about their brand, by visiting their Facebook page. Take note that they are also holding a “Gimme Golla Contest,” in which mechanics can be found here. I’d like to see more entries, as the laptop bags and sleeves are just truly love! ( and my review, to follow! )

Shen, a dear, dear friend, is celebrating her 3rd Year Anniversary by a month-long weekly contest! Nice, nice prizes, too, so please head on to her site and join!

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weekend – take a rest, relax your mind, and have some fun! I’ll be back next week for more product reviews, updates, and more!

Tata!

Lady Gaga Reveals Her Beauty Crimes

lady-gagagigsportcom

source:Gigsport.com

Lady Gaga, is definitely an icon of our decade. Full of quirky hits, and eccentric fashion sense, she is nothing short of a show-stopper.

But then, Lady Gaga, Stephanie Germanotta in real has committed a grave, grave beauty crime – overdyeing her hair. Perhaps, her public image has taken its toll, for this natural brunette just can’t look back and go back to her natural hair color for now, and has a “chemical haircut” every now and then as her blonde hair is falling off.

Bianca Valerio is Colour Collection’s Chief Makeup Artist!

P1140584

It was a lovely Thursday lunch that I quietly left the office on a half day just to see the lovely Bianca Valerio. What’s not to be giddy about Bianca Valerio? She is just one of the people in the fashion industry that I really admire -as she is the total package – beautiful, with impeccable fashion sense, an eloquent writer and host for a TV show, and for events, highly skilled in makeup artistry, and with all of that, she has remained down to earth, humble, and really friendly! She has also created waves with her makeover show, F.A.S.H., poising itself for a second season already! So yes, she was quite a person to see that Thursday!

I was really intrigued as Tupperware’s Colour Collection has announced that Bianca is their new Chief Makeup Artist. Bianca, being really product-savvy and a beauty product critique, must have seen something really good with Colour Collection! I was really excited to find out! What I know is that Bianca is very critical when it comes to her beauty products, and she would agree in endorsing one brand only if it worked for her!

For our intimate lunch with Bianca, we were able to learn alot of things from her, that is to be shared with all of you!

Askmewhats and Beautynomics On a Flawless White Journey!

unbeaten2

might be our best shot together. haha!

Nikki and I, we became friends in the most unusual setting, and circumstance. We were schoolmates ( proud Judenites, yeah! ) that never met in school, and we only met through our blogs, with Nikki being friendly and generous with her good vibes thru commenting in blogs. We started being close when I got back from my studies in Singapore, and the rest was history. She is my favorite email-mate, text-mate, and phone chat-mate, and I truly consider her one of the closest friends I have right now, sharing my happy times, secrets, and even problems. Looks like eldest-daughter Sophie has found a sister *smiles*

Make Up For Ever’s First Unretouched Digital Campaign

MAKE UP FOR EVER_HD Ad_Spring 2011

Make Up For Ever‘s new campaign is definitely interesting, and well, admirable!

Look at the above photo. It was shot, in Paris last December 2010, with the looks conceptualized by Make Up For Ever Creator and Artistic Director, Dany Sanz. No, no retouching or digital editing here, as it was…certified by a notary public! Continue reading

Katy Perry is ghd Endorser

stylefile

Oh, Katy Perry has got to be one of my favorite music artists this decade! ( well, and last decade? hahaha! ) From her super controversial hit, ” I Kissed A Girl,” she’s just skyrocketted to fame with her next hits, “Waking Up In Vegas,” “Thinking of You,” to LSS-inducing songs “California Girls,” “Teenage Dream,” and my recent favorite, “Fireworks!” Oh, I just love her!

Aside from her strong, unique voice, she also has some awesome and audacious fashion sense – with clothes, to makeup, and even her hair! That must be why ghd, an iconic British, professionally endorsed hair styling brand, got her as their official endorser!
