To be honest, the title of this post should be, “How It Feels Like To Sit Beside Andi Eigenmann for Almost an Hour!” Hahahaha! It’s because I literally froze! ( why do I have these starstruck tendencies with stars? maybe it’s because I watch too much TV! )
I cheered on ( in my own home ) Andi Eigenmann as she was poised to stardom with her big break, Agua Bendita, cried with Agua and got mad at Bendita, I think that she just looks so beautiful! At age 20, she is definitely going places with her acting career.
With co-beauty and lifestyle bloggers meeting her for an interview, Andi exuded a fresh, and youthful vibe. Well-spoken, and very fluent in English, every word that came out of her mouth was spoken with conviction, passion, and frankness. I was pleasantly surprised, and impressed, that someone as young as her would know what she wants as early as now, have concrete plans about her future, and be comfortable in her own body.
Care for some tidbits again? haha!
Tidbit #1 She comes from a showbiz family – daughter of veteran actors Mark Gil and (veteran actress) Jacklyn Jose. Her brother Sid Lucero is someone that she’s so proud of, making it big, and making quite a statement in indie films. Her parents never forced her into showbusiness, and pretty much lets her do whatever she wants because she knows how to handle herself ( nice!)
Tidbit #2 Her moment of realization that she’d very much like to stay and make a name in showbusiness was when she was in a supporting role in “Prinsesa ng Banyera,” an afternoon soap in ABS-CBN. She was in highschool that time ( in Miriam College ), and she was allowed to be in the show, as long as she has her tapings after school, as per her mom’s conditions.
Tidbit #3 Andi tells us that if she weren’t in show business right now, she would be in college, either taking up Psychology, Creative Writing, or Film. She has thoughts of studying abroad, and just experience travelling. She is giving herself two years to be able to go back to school, no matter what ( this was said with so much conviction, I swear! )
Tidbit #4 Andi has always been a Pond’s user, and swears by Pond’s Clear Solutions Facial Scrub and other basic Pond’s products! She also loves using Pond’s Age Miracle Dual Eye Therapy UV Eye Cream. Ever since she was little, she has always dreamed of being in a Pond’s billboard in Katipunan, where she lives. She uses facial wash more than other Pond’s products, as well as sunscreen and the pressed powder to retouch during tapings. Needless to say, she is very “hiyang” to Pond’s products that she’s not scared of switching from one Pond’s product to another!
Tidbit #5 ( and I love Andi for saying this ) when asked what makeup product she can’t live without – she blurts out that MAC Cosmetics has the one product that she can’t live without – MAC Girl Boy Brow Set! She emphasizes that she is very particular about eyebrows, and how her eyebrows are shaded/groomed by a makeup artist. Her lipstick loves borders around the pinks – she loves MAC Pink Nouveau and MAC Lady Gaga Lipstick. I was also able to ask her what lipstick shade she used while she was portraying Bendita onscreen, and she tells us that it is a certain pink in a Kryolan lip palette full of pink shades.
Tidbit #6 She grew up being sporty, being a swimmer and a gymnast! Right now as work gets demanding, she is more laid back, but cuts back on sweets, and does not drink fruit juices and soda! ( BRAVO – just like me! ) She drinks alot of water, around 2 liters before lunch to keep her hydrated. It’s very very “Agua,” the role that she played in Agua Bendita! Haha!
Tidbit #7 : When I asked her, “Andi, when are you going back on primetime TV?” ( since I watch straight ABS-CBN primetime drama shows ) she happily said, “soon! next month.” She is going to be back, folks! She is now taping, “Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin,” and will co-star alongside Coco Martin. Her role is someone in the military, wherein she needs to do her own stunts – proof? we saw scratches on her arm.
Okay, so going back to my topic – how was it like sitting beside Andi Eigenmann for almost an hour? I was so happy!!! I finally met one of the bright young stars of today, that I used to watch every weeknight! Hahaha! It was just refreshing to hear someone as young as her know what she wants, and is very determined to reach her goals in life! Andi, having a clear vision of what her future she wants, is quite inspiring. Well, cheers to Andi and her bright, bright future in showbusiness!
