NARS let us in a sneak peak of the NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils by celebrities/movie stars wearing them during events. ( see Olivia Wilde ) Now, it is finally revealed, and finally available to the public!

NARS takes everything beloved about its Velvet Matte Lip Pencil—the convenience of a pencil with the application of a lipstick in a jumbo-size crayon design—then swaps the matte formula for one that provides luminosity and shine.
Available in six beautifully glazed shades, from seashell pink to raspberry sorbet, the Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils feature a lightweight formula that is enriched with Vitamin E. Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils can be used alone or with other NARS lip products. Apply directly to the lips, lining first and then filling in.
As for the shades available,

BAROQUE – A bold raspberry sorbet shade; the type of regal color frequently associated with its namesake artistic
style.
HAPPY DAYS – A fresh pink coral infused with gold shimmer that’s as flirty and fun-loving as the TV sitcom it’s name is
inspired by.
NEW LOVER – A strawberry pink, laced with gold that mimics the look of overly-kissed lips.
FRIVOLOUS – A flirty and frothy iridescent seashell pink, that is anything but serious.
HOPI – A honey beige hue inspired by the Native American tribe of northeastern Arizona.
CLUB MIX – A sheer grape color that’s sophisticated enough for day, but seductive enough for a night on the town.
In line with the campaign, they’ve also created a film! It’s sort of a lip-of-the-day for each of the shades, with only one model projecting the shades! If you’d like to watch it and see the shades in ” real life”, then watch the video here.
These chubby lip pencils seem really nice, as they make me feel that they are lipliners ( though creamier ) and lipsticks in one. I so love lining my lips first before filling them in, so this would be a great product to have just when you love precise lip makeup ( specially with dark shades!)
These lovelies will be available Feb. 1, 2011 at narscosmetics.com
Well, who wants one? I know, I do!
