BEAUTY2010

2010 has been such a beautiful year for me. It was very busy and hectic, but it was also very fruitful, gratifying, and I was very very productive. With my best of 2010 posts, I am trying to segregate as much as I can, and here’s what I’ve come up with -

Happy Accomplishments

What I love about 2010 is that I’ve realized that somehow, I’ve accomplished some things for Beautynomics, and my beauty business, Beauty & Minerals. Beautynomics and Beauty & Minerals both turned four years old this year! Time flies so fast just when you’re having fun in what you’re doing, and passion further fuels my system to do more. I am very hopeful that 2011 would be a blast! My mind is now fill with beautiful ideas for the coming year, I am just so excited, and really hoping I would be able to materialize my new goals!

Notable accomplishments for Beautynomics are – getting featured in a book, getting featured as blogger of the month for Medicol and Nuffnang, and a kind blogger for writing something about me! ( thanks, love! ) For Beauty & Minerals, I was happy that my products, especially Charm Makeup Brushes, were featured in various newspapers and magazines.

For my makeup career, aside from makeup gigs here and there ( thank you for the trust! ) , I was able to do wedding makeup for two girls very, very dear to me – Frances and Maisie. I am looking forward to do more makeup next year, and just enjoy what I’m doing beautifying girls! I’ve an upcoming gig that I’d be so excited to blog about very, very soon – watch out for it!

Getting Social
Going events is just no fun if you’re not with there with your beautiful girl friends. To be honest, I don’t see events as purely work – oh yes, what we do during events is to cover them to give our readers the best material, and information with their potential purchases, but blogging is not about being the top blogger, or competing with each other ( I am the least competitive person in the world, so there ), there’s also a priceless benefit in niche blogging ( beauty blogging, in my case ) , that is you get to meet people who have the same interests, be friends with, and cam-whore with! Hahaha!

This year, I feel that I didn’t go to alot of events, but I will definitely try to make more time for it next year. Amongst my memorable events this year are the Neutrogena summer day-out with co-beauty bloggers, the beauty-nerd gratifying Obagi event, getting to know the new organic skin care brand Mineral Flowers, tinkering over Glambox Airbrush, and the Glutamax Event, and the super cool Sunsilk, and Pond’s events! There are so much more fun events that I haven’t mentioned, that I really, really loved!

New Beauty Loves For 2010

2010 was also a year for new beauty discoveries! Here’s my list of beauty favorites that I have stumbled on this lovely year!

MAC Penultimate Brow Marker – for sparse eyebrows, this is really the bomb. This is the closest thing to an eyebrow tattoo, only washable. This stays put for the entire day, and looks really natural!

Nu Skin Ageloc – This is one of the biggest skin care launches this year. Luxury skin care brand Nu Skin has made it, and found a formula that actually resets our skin’s age! If I had loads, and loads of cash, I’d be stocking up on this!

Nu Skin Celltrex Recovery Fluid – this product has on the market since I was in High School, and I only got myself to switch fully to it, as a moisturizer substitute since my skin cannot tolerate moisturizers anymore. Serums like Celltrex really make a difference in terms of skin hydration for oily skin – it keeps skin soft, and in best health, without greasing it up!

Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Palette – I have just proven, and finally found the best eyeshadows for me – Urban Decay eyeshadows, which have really intense, and vivid pigmented colors that definitely gives you value for what you pay for! The Alice in Wonderland Palette is so heaven sent with all the beautiful, and exciting shades that are very much wearable! I even made looks with it as I was just so happy with it. I am now going to collect Urban Decay eyeshadows from now on, specially the palettes! They’re just worth every centavo! ( and hey, I also got to see the movie, wherein UD got their inspiration from. Definitely one of the best movies of 2010! )

MAC Pret a Papier Collection – MAC Cosmetics is just plain love. Going to MAC’s homeland this year made me love it even more, with other gorgeous collections that they came out with! My weakness? Lip colors! My favorite would be the Pret a Papier Collection, just because I’m a bit tired of pinks, I particularly loved this collection. Very very posh!

Shiseido Eyebrow Pencil - ahh. amongst all the eyebrow pencils I’ve tried, this has got to be the best. And I mean the best – gives you naturally looking brows, and comes in a very very affordable price tag! It’s not readily available except in Japan, though.

Charm PRO Makeup Brush Set - a proud moment of mine, as I finally launched my professional brush set! I love it to bits! I use it for all of my gigs.

My Dermatologist - okay, this may not be a beauty product, but I just have to say that I love my dermatologist to bits! She really made my skin improve drastically. You can contact her if you’d like to try her services, which I really highly recommend. Okay, back to normal programming. Haha!

The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Range – the most gentle, water-based skin care ( at least, the facial washes, and the moisturizers are very forgiving to oily skin, as well ) I’ve ever tried. This is very very good for teenagers, and those who are suffering from oily skin. Definitely won’t make your acne get worse. This range just feels so great on the skin!

Pond’s Pure White Facial Wash – a favorite of mine, and my sisters ( and mom ) as well, as it deep cleanses the skin that you don’t need to remove makeup separately as it does that job, too! Another amazing find is their new Ponds Gold Radiance Line. A review is currently on the works but I have to say this in advance – I LOVE Pond’s Gold Radiance!

Venus and Mars Organics
- my favorite organic skin care brand to date. Coming up with more reviews about their products!

Eyliplex-2 - the best eyecream discovery of mine ( and alot of beauty bloggers ) this year! This definitely WORKS and does wonders on my eyes! I will be repurchasing soon!

SkinWithin Sunblock – my quest has ended, and I have fount my Holy Grail of all sunblocks out there. No grease SkinWithin, is officially my can’t-live-without skin care product, aside from my M2 Skin Refinish.

INOA Hair Coloring System – having my hair colored without any smell, and having it really soft afterwards, with really beautiful color? Priceless. New technologies like this excite me.

L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Hair Care Line – the BEST conditioner that I’ve ever tried, that does not make the scalp itch. Perfect for those who have problems with itchy scalp, and yet want the best looking hair. Love, love, love!

Shu Uemura Essence Absolue – I consider this the wonder serum with the hefty price tag, but then it’s so worth it, as you won’t be needing too much product, a pump is enough to make the hair dry beautifully! No frizz, and really obedient hair within seconds!

Close Up White Now – when I was a bit younger, I was really searching for that toothpaste that would make my teeth whiten instantly. We’re now making progress as there is such a thing with Close Up White Now – that makes teeth look sparkly for 3 hours. The future is just so bright with this innovation!

DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom – my scent for 2010. Two words – fresh flowers.

Wheatgrass
– Wheatgrass is my beauty food this year. This controlled my acne, believe it or not! I definitely recommend this for overall health, and for those who are suffering with acne!

Miracle Ball
- ahh. This is my lifesaver, amongst everything. I will never, ever part with my Miracle Ball. For back pain sufferers, this makes all the difference. It makes air circulate on your stiff muscle or part of the body, and the muscles there get to relax and makes you feel better. I love it that I bought 3 more sets for backup!

Well, there is the best that I’ve experienced this year! I am so looking forward for a better and brighter 2011, more beauty discoveries, more beauty adventures, and more beauty products to launch! I am thanking the Lord for all the blessings that He has given to me and my family, and I’m also grateful, most of all, for you, staying with me, and reading Beautynomics! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now, who’s up for a phenomenal 2011? Let’s all welcome 2011 with a big, beautiful smile! Yay!!!
