Ahhh. The body. Something that we obsess about every single day as one of our most-shopped items are clothes, and even accessories that we drape around our clothes to look our best, and choose the right sizes and dress types to be in our best form. But underneath all that lies something far more essential that molds everything outside- lingerie, inner wear, intimate-wear, or inti-mates, as I fondly call them.

They can be basic for those who see lingerie as something they just need to wear everyday, they can be frivolous and flamboyant ( even if hidden underneath! ) for those who want the “inspiration from within” vibe, and some find happiness in them with the style, function, and comfort it provides. For me, it’s a mix of basic, inspiration, and comfort! I love lingerie, and I need those that mold perfectly into my body to be able to move around everyday, with it just like second skin!

From my younger years, I’ve been loyal only to one brand- Wacoal. My size hasn’t been exactly the most available one in the market – I’m a C cup that eventually evolved into a D, so it wasn’t really easy looking for bra’s with that cup size. Even with that, it was even harder to find something really comfortable, and with really full coverage, just the way I like it ( I’m not very revealing, yknow! ). I have stayed loyal with Wacoal because of the really good quality brassieres that they have that really last long, plus, they’re really comfortable to wear! I must say that they’re really investment pieces that I don’t mind splurging for. They have the full coverage bra’s that I really like, that gives me full cup coverage, and has the most comfortable fabrics, may they be the basic ones or the lacy ones!

My favorite Wacoal Lace Minimizer Bra – it’s the most comfortable thing I sink in to!

Moving on, I just thought, that I’ve committed these mistakes in the past :

1. Buying a bra online without even actually fitting it
Major, major mistake. You would not know how thickly padded the bra is, and how it’d fit on you! Sometimes, I would buy from catalogues and just get dismayed that as I get them, I am not totally satisfied with the cup coverage, as it may seem too small!

2. Fitting a bra ever so quickly.
Another wrong move. You really need to take a few minutes of peace, and feel the bra, on how comfortable it is on your skin, and how it fits you – when you move, will your bra move and be dis-located on your body? Can you still breathe with your bra? Are the straps hurting your shoulders already? Oh, and how about strapless bras – they fall off, so beware, and make sure that you get the perfect size – no compromses!

3. Always buying that same bra size since your last measurement
Another mistake, as our bodies change from time to time – we gain or loseweight, we get pregnant ( for some ! ) , we give birth ( for some again! ) and our bodies grow older. As our bodies age, there is the need for more ‘lift’, ‘shaping’, and all that jazz aside from exercise. We need to have ourselves measured from time to time for that our bodies change, and our sizes – from the numbers to the cup sizes too!

4. Not bringing clothes that you want to wear on top of your lingerie/undergarments
Of course, we all know that seamless underwear work well for jersey and body-hugging tops, and for corporate attire, lacy ones are best as they give the “cone” shape that gives you more form under somewhat thicker clothing, but all in all, buying a bra needs to be matched with the outfit that you are going to wear it with – you can’t wear lacy underwear under spandex tops, and so forth. With that, best to bring your “potential top” when buying your lingerie, and trying them together!

Been guilty of that. Are you, too?

Before I end my entry, let me just share with you, aside from my precious lingerie from Wacoal, the body shaper that I got :

shapevest

It’s a Shape Vest. Isn’t it cool? It’s a waist killer, it lifts the breasts more, and makes you stand up straight. It’s the formula for a perfect body. As I haven’t had the chance to exercise, here’s a chance to salvage my getups with this. My tummy is not actually the flattest right now ( sigh! I really should do something about this! ) and look at what it did to me, when I wore it :

me and Shen wearing our respective “body shapers” and really happy with them!

Voila! Look at how tiny my waist is on the photo above! Isn’t it amazing? I also love “the lift,” if you know what I mean! ;) I am so happy with the Shape Vest that I’d wear it during my dress-up days!

Well, I’m just a happy girl with my Wacoal! I predict that I’d be loyal to it for a long, long time, as I’ve always been before. I’ve grown up with the brand, and maybe I would really grow old with it.

and oh, on a side note, Sorci Age is their new line for teeners! Much, much less expensive than Wacoal but when I saw the quality – they were just superb! I’d love to invest in this if they were available when I was younger – but then, they only have cups A and B!

I wonder if the Shape Vest would move your fat else where. But looking at your last pic with Shen you had a sexy thing going on there. Congrats in finding a perfect fit!

I’m also very loyal to Wacoal. I discovered it a few years ago and never turned back. Hm. I want to get myself a Shape Vest, too! :D

MrsMartinez : I think I need a girdle underneath. hahahaha!
Skysenshi : Wacoal’s just about my favorite brand! Even if I try other brands I just keep on going back to my “classic” brand. The Shape Vest is a must-try! I do not regret my purchase at all! It made my waist tiny!! :)
