My dermatologist, Marledi Dizon, just mildly scolded me for not visiting her for close to four or five months already, as I was busy with lots of things. I remember that she was able to save my skin by visiting her office every three weeks, and a monthly maintenance with my favorite peeling session was done to keep my skin not-so-troublesome.
If you ask me if one visit to the dermatologist would save your skin, I’d say not. It takes one skin cycle, which is three months, for skin to improve. So if you have problem skin ( oily, blemish-prone ) like mine, take into heart that you need to visit your dermatologist ( or a new one ) at least three times before judging if he/she is the dermatologist for you. In my case, I invested 3 months of going to her office every three weeks, and I had drastic improvement. My skin is not as blemish-prone as before, and though it’s still oily, a monthly peeling session just makes my skin become better, and better!
Speaking of peeling, and going back to my story, with my long absence, I’ve had micro-comedones form on my forehead ( itago nalang natin sa tawag na “butlig” hahaha! ), and some stubborn comedones here and there. I’m lucky that I did not have any angry, red inflammations ( thanks to MaMa Lotion, now called M2 Skin Refinish ) With that, she told me that she was going aggressive and will apply more peeling solution ( PCASkin, the best, and safest there is! ), so I should expect the peeling on my skin on the next few days to be more noticeable, as PCASkin peels , when done, are hardly noticeable, and have really really fine micropeeling ( love it! )
My dermatologist loves Vitamin C, and really strongly recommends Vitamin C serums right after having a diamond peel is performed, or any kind of chemical peeling. What I’m using now? The Body Shop Vitamin C Facian Radiance Powder Mix.
When your dull skin needs revitalising, try this intensive vitamin C powder mix containing pure vitamin C. Simply mix the powder into the liquid for a superpotent treatment that can be added to your regular regime for 10 days. Used twice daily, it improves the appearance of skin tone and instantly promotes a healthy-looking glowing radiance. In addition to vitamin C-rich Amazonian camu camu berry, the product is enhanced with soothing Community Trade aloe vera..
Vitamin C serums are really great, when you want your skin to glow, and you want your skin in health. It’s the perfect after-peeling aid, that aids your skin in being hydrated, making the peeling less noticeable, as it nourishes your new skin from within, waiting for it to reveal itself once the dead skin is shed off ( usually takes 2-3 days for skin to start peeling, if a PCASkin peel is performed ).
With The Body Shop Vitamin C Facial Radiance Powder Mix, as the powder is released into the serum, and mixed, it proves to be really powerful. It feels absolutely light on the skin when applied, and it really gives the skin a good glow, when used regularly. As a chemical peeling aid, it made the peeling transition not so “rough,” so it’s a great choice to have around in your vanity table.
I highly recommend The Body Shop Vitamin C Facial Radiance Powder Mix for those who would want to add to their skin care regimen something that can make their skin soft, glowing, and in health, and for those who have regular skin peeling sessions, this is great to apply on your skin when you’re not supposed to be using clindamycin, or really rich moisturizers to let the new skin surface perfectly. Priced at P 1695.00, you would only need 2-3 drops for every application, so this would probably not be finished for a while.
Well, here’s to glowing, and new skin every time! I swear, I will visit my dermatologist after a month again! It is always a great feeling to have my skin peeled – out with the old, in with the new!
