purewhite

It’s been closely a month now since I’ve been using Pond’s Pure White Facial Wash. I know, the new product of Pond’s has just taken Manila by storm, with these being picked up every few seconds, getting all sold out everywhere! I guess everyone’s just really curious on how it’d fare, or if it’d really deliver what it promises – drawing out skin impurities, and deep-cleansing our skin without drying our skin.

The promise stems from activated carbon, an ingredient that is said to draw out all the dirt – black attracts black. This ingredient is also present in various Asian products that are colored black, such as Kose Sekkisei’s mask, and charcoal soaps. Well, let’s see how it fared on me!

At first glance, the packaging is just sleek and classy. I love it. Anything black attracts me. It definitely is attractive to both men, and women ( take note : even men! ) as they don’t see this product as something exclusively for women. With that, it comes out as a friendly product to them, making them pick up and try this product for themselves.

The product itself, when squeezed out, smells very lemony, pleasant, and smells unisex. No strong perfumes here. As I use this on my face, it gives out this lather that’s not too creamy, but not too watery as well. It really feels like it is cleaning my skin, as far as the lather is concerned. Other facial washes are just too creamy for my skin type ( which is oily ) that I don’t feel the cleansing happen. Washing off after, my face really, really feels squeaky clean. Like unusually squeaky clean. I only feel this with facial wash products targeted for oily skin, and water-based ones. With that feel I got right after using this on my face, I was immediately sold!

What makes it really nice, even for dry skin, is that it doesn’t make your skin feel really tight, even if deep cleansing was involved. I notice my skin still soft a few hours after, and gradually oiling up little by little( yes, my skin is oily, and there is no control for that ), but not in an alarming amount. So I’m glad. It’s been weeks, and I do not see any effects on my open-pored, blemish-prone skin with the Pond’s Pure White Facial Wash.

And on a side note, it’s been the most-wanted facial wash in the house, with my mom and my sister constantly looking for it once it gets relocated in the other bathroom- a sign that another sister has been using it! Haha!

To sum up, I’m just very impressed that Pond’s is coming up with great, great products. As a product targeted for the masses, I’m very happy that quality beauty products are just within everyone’s budget!

So, how is Pond’s Pure Whit Facial Wash faring on you? I’d love to read about it! Do share!

you’re right sophie. unusually squeaky clean without the tightness. i first bought the small packs just to try it out how my skin would react, as i am oily and blemish-prone too. luckily, skin gave the go-signal. and on a second note, you’re right too, the full size one is earning stealthy looks from other family members, male and female alike :)

I tried this and it was nice on the first few washes, but then nag break out yung skin ko and nag dry. Now using Cetaphil in hopes of restoring my skin.

Never talaga kami magbabati ni Pond’s :(
