Sometimes, I think of Beautynomics as the older ( but very very pretty, still ) sister of Beauty & Minerals. After all, upon starting to beauty blog four years ago, I’ve been just obsessed about beauty products, and discovering what’s really really good, I opened Beauty & Minerals roughly a year after Beautynomics to offer to the market my prized beauty picks, that are not readily available in the country. As I went on enjoying my time giving consultations and making people get converted to mineral makeup with Beauty & Minerals, I also got smitten with makeup brushes. Thus, I’ve created my own line of makeup brushes, called Charm.

Charm, I think, is one of the ( if not, first ) makeup brush brands that started from online selling. For years, I’ve seen the brand grow, and grow, and of course, I seek to make the brand better, and better everytime with new product releases, and just last year, I was so happy that the Charm Luxe line was getting so much love from beauty lovers all over the world! Boy, my dreams for Charm are big – I hope I’d be able to go mainstream one day. But then, today marks one of the milestones in my Charm brand-building.

For years, and years, I’ve always thought about producing a professional makeup brush line of my own, being a makeup artist myself. I just love how makeup brushes look cute like that, and weave magic once you pick them up, firm up your grip on them, and start applying makeup on yourself, or another. My love for makeup brushes stemmed from my love for Chinese calligraphy. I just love my calligraphy brush, and I’ve always sought much perfection with my strokes, utilizing my summers when I was young with learning from a Taiwanese instructor. I know, I am far from being an artsy person, but holding a makeup brush just makes me feel so powerful – that I can create anything, and I am more inspired to create beautiful works.

I’ve toiled, and toiled on roadtesting these makeup brushes to perfection as I get quite dissatisfied with bad tools, and I can say that this is my masterpiece. This is something that I can be proud of. I really hope that makeup artists, or makeup enthusiasts would give this a try to see, as they take a piece of my heart with them. Mushy, but true. I’ve put too much heart and effort in this set, that I hope you remember me when you use it! Haha!

    Hi Renee!

They’re made from the finest goat, sable, pharmi, and even racoon bristles. :) It’s quite a mix, ensuring the proper pick-up of pigments, and proper usage for wet/dry products :)

This is a really great brush set! I told my sister to check it out and get for herself since I got my set already.
I was wondering if you plan to sell brushes individually soon for those who have already owned brush sets and are just looking for individual unique brush pieces… :)

Bakit ngayon ka lang???!!! (I think I’ve read this comment from Nikki). And soooo affordable too. Sigh but I’ve several na….buying a whole set would be…well not be simple living (at least for me). Unless, someone would be willing to buy my hodge podge of brushes.

Hope you have several stocks….might change my mind, hehehehe :-)
