Dear Venus,
You almost didn’t make it.
After winning the Binibining Pilipinas – Universe as our official representative to the world’s most glamorous beauty pageant, Miss Universe, you were dethroned due to “inconsistencies” in your birth certificate.
But then, you went to fight on for your right, did not stop fighting, as you fought with allies. Fighting was great with supporters and friends. It was a great day that you got what was truly yours- getting back the throne. Somehow, I feel that you knew you were going to make a difference with the vibes you were exuding and the oozing confidence you were expressing about bagging the crown as Miss Universe. It just felt like you knew it was your destiny to go to Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas to win the crown.
You were definitely a breath of fresh air to look at amongst all the beauties walking on the Miss Universe Pageant runway today, as you looked very much exotic and gorgeous. A 22-inch waistline was definitely something to swoon about, looking extra divine in your swimsuit, and long gown. You were so close to the crown, getting into the Top 15, then moving on as a part of the Top 10, and the spine tinging Top 5!
Despite nothing major, major happening in your life that has made you answer that question like that, I do understand, that guardians just might have raised you well that your path may have never strayed. Despite your struggles in poverty during your earlier years, you have emerged, graduating with honors – beauty and brains, indeed, with much, much fighting spirit.
Congratulations for bagging 4th runner up in the Miss Universe 2010 Pageant! This will definitely go down to Philippine history, as we haven’t had winners from the Miss Universe Pageant for quite a while ( eleven years, to be exact ) !
