Last Saturday, I attended such a fun event, that was named “art class.” Look, convinced? Hahaha!
Kidding aside, mood boards. We were asked to cut out pictures from the magazines, and just paste them on our respective mood boards, depending on what we want to express. I think it took me more than an hour to come up with mine, as I am a person who wants alot of things in life.

Things that I can say about me are – I am ambitious, a big dreamer, and a go-getter. My niche in this lifetime happens to be beauty, as I am passionate about beauty. I blog about beauty. I do makeup. I have an online beauty boutique, and I want a beauty empire one day. That pretty much describes my mood board. All my dreams and loves. I believe that everything that I’ve put on my mood board is a perfect fit for my lifestyle. I believe that there is no room for compromise in this life, if you want something that bad.
Aside from me, there are fellow dreamers, and lovers of life who have expressed it in their respective mood boards,

(and of course me! Hahaha! )
After presenting our mood boards, Genevieve of Levi’s presented to us something that she promises would change the way we see about jeans.

If you ask me about jeans, I’m required to wear them everyday for work. Yep, working for sales in a printing press requires casual, and comfortable wear, but still presentable enough to clients as I am involved in sales. During idle days, I would just carelessly toss in some baggy jeans, as I would be scolded for wearing such horrible looking bottoms, as I am a victim of the “Gaper” problem ( see above, for illustration! ) Which of the four problems in jeans do you currently have?
Truthfully, I’ve never had that perfect pair of jeans. All my jeans seemed to have a drawback, so I can say that I’ve compromised over the years. It was last Saturday that drawn me to my destiny – going to a Levi’s event, and finally finding that perfect fit. Dad is a huge fan of Levi’s that he buys two to three pairs a year, and always nags me to invest in Levi’s rather than in less expensive brands, because he feels I’m wasting my money. Haha! ( So, guess who pushed me to attend the event. haha! )
The event was about Levi’s launching women’s jeans that custom fits based on shape, not on size. The type of jeans will be determined by a woman’s curves. After listening to women’s woes of jeans incompatibility around the world, Levi’s makes sure that :
- The new Levi’s® Jeans Collection for Women defines your waist and accentuates your curves without a muffin top.
- The new Levi’s® Jeans Collection for Women flatters your waist and smoothens your shape.
-The new Levi’s® Jeans Collection for Women hugs your waist without gaping or pulling.
Finally. Something that honors women’s curves, and finally understand that there are body types, instead of just sizes! That gave me some hope.

When my “curves” were measured by Peach, I was looking at the other bloggers in our makeshift dressing room trying on jeans, and them, actually looking that they’re happy with their fit! I, on the meanwhile, was still doubtful, for my last jeans purchase of another brand was simply disastrous – I fitted it perfectly on the dressing room, and upon wearing it days after my purchase, it slid..down! ( Good thing I had a veerrry long top then! ) .
I would usually go for a size 29, and women there would not believe that my size is like that. With the New Levi’s Collection, apparently, I am a size 27, with “some curves” that definitely made adjustments on my size, settles on the right curves of my waist and hips, and look, ma, it hugs my waist just perfectly without any gaping or awkward loose area on the behind!

Yay! I love my new jeans!
Now, my next problem, is how to have the jeans altered to the right length. From now on, I am not only wearing jeans for work, but will definitely paint the town red, wearing them with my favorite heels! Right now, I still could not believe that there is a perfect pair of jeans that fit me, and looks like I would have to invest in more pairs of these because I believe that once you’ve found your perfect, perfect fit, there’s no turning back anymore.
Right then and there, I pasted a picture of my new Levi’s jeans in my newly updated mood board. Boy, it really deserves a spot there. I’m keeping the tags to make sure I buy the right one for my second pair! ( and beyond! )
P.S. I really should have listened to my dad before!
