In the recent MAC In The Groove Collection, I was able to get two lipsticks of my favorite texture – cremesheen! Cremesheens glide on like cream, and give really good , lustrous, but opaque coverage on the lips. All Styled Up and Call My Bluff are part of the In The Groove Collection, but I might as well add another Cremesheen lipstick to my swatches : my favorite, Shy Girl.

Call My Bluff is a nude brown. It gives off an elegant, more serious vibe with the brown color. This color is not really a happy color, and I think this can be worn during a serious corporate meeting, that would make you look very presentable and stylish, and yet scream business. Hahahaha!

All Styled Up is that pink that’s been all over the glossies, and on everyone’s lips. I swear, bright pinks are so popular right now! As compared to the Lady Gaga lipstick, this is a deeper shade, but brighter, nonetheless. This is more wearable, and I love this Barbie pink on my lips. Not too nude, so this can be worn on a fun day.

Shy Girl, I can say, is that perfect coral nude shade. Described by MAC Cosmetics as a “creamy neutral coral beige”, it can substitute the very pale, and nude cult favorite pro shade Peachstock. Comparing it with Peachstock, Peachstock is less lustrous, and looks more like skin tone, while Shy Girl has some bright factor into it, being a coral nude. I would prefer Shy Girl anytime because of the jollier, and more “uplifting” vibe.

I remember my bestfriend raving about MAC Peachstock and wanting one for herself as she has tried it from one of her friends, and running to me to accompany her to the MAC counter, I told her that MAC Peachstock is a Pro ( not so easily accessible item ), and moreso, a discontinued shade. Last it was seen being sold in a limited collection from the Give Me Liberty Collection, in which I hurriedly asked a friend to buy for me in Hong Kong. I’ve had my MAC Cremesheen in Shy Girl sitting around my makeup traincase for almost a year, as I just happened to stumble on it during one of my idle days in Singapore, wanting to get the very pretty pinks from the Cremesheen Collection that just launched that time, and almost everything being sold out , I settled for Shy Girl, wanting a nude lipstick for me. After a year, I didn’t think that my sister would be wanting to keep it for herself as she tried it on her lips, and just seeing how similar it is with Peachstock, I might recommend that those who want Peachstock get Shy Girl instead. Promise, it’s so worth it!
Well, here’s to lipstick mondays! I’m in love! How’s your Monday so far?
