INOA

INOA. Hair color of the future.

When I used a D-I-Y permanent hair color for my hair just in time have my hair rebonded, I didn’t expect that one of my friends would say that I should have my hair dyed again since it lacked lustre. I just needed to dye my hair to cover my grays, and it was just saddening that someone found my hair color too dull! So when I was presented the chance to try out L’Oreal Professionel’s new hair color, INOA, I was more than game to see if it would give my hair some lustre magic.

What is INOA?

INOA means Innovation, NO Ammonia.

INOA is the new professional permanent hair color to darken, lighten, or cover white hair. It is a true technological revolution that transforms the coloring experience with NO ODOR, NO AMMONIA.

INOA is the hair color that provides OPTIMAL RESPECT FOR THE HAIR FIBER and OPTIMAL SCALP COMFORT and is ODORLESS.

At the heart of INOA is the ODS: Oil Delivery System. Unlike classic oxidative hair color, this is a breakthrough technology based on an oil-rich system that boosts the action of the hair color system.

ready for my INOA coloring. RAWR!

As the technology and benefits seem very interesting and promising, I hereby report to you and share my experience with L’Oreal Professionel’s latest in hair color technology : INOA.

Sophie, The Curious Beauty Cat
When I walked in Regine’s and sat down for my INOA experience, oh, how I could not stop asking questions about INOA! Once the staff laid out the INOA products, I asked what they were for, and what they did.

Oxydant Riche is the peroxide component, while Oleo Gel is the oil. You mix them together with the color in tubes, as part of the formula. I opted for a reddish brown shade, to have a natural medium brown hair color on me, plus that reddish tint for more warmth in my pale face.

inoa6

mixing time!

The mixture was to be mixed thoroughly for 88 times, to make the INOA mixture effective in adhering to the hair shaft. I watched, and watched, at it was mixed laboriously! True enough, I sniffed, and sniffed, and there was no smell. It’s such a relief, for the space in Regine’s between clients was not so big, and I wouldn’t have to annoy my “seatmate” with that smell!

As INOA is oil based, highly different from the standard water-based salon hair color formulas in the market, application is mode tedious, as it is needed to be applied with more force, and thoroughly, for better penetration into the hair fiber I observed how careful the stylist was in applying the INOA mixture on my hair, laboriously applying with force ( semi-slapping the mixture per hair section ) again, and again.

Sophie whispers to your ear, “she’s the girl who massages quite well! haha” I look so much like an octopus here. Octopus Sophie rivaling Paul the Octopus? hahaha!

After the application, I was given a 45 minute waiting time for the hair color to develop prior to rinsing. I had the best back massage from one of their staff ( love you ate! haha! ) that I really complimented on how she took my week’s worth of stress!

When 45 minutes was up, the stylist then again massaged my hair and emulsified it further before rinsing. After 10 minutes of doing that, my hair was shampooed twice, without conditioner, as I was growing more excited with the result! Wootsiedaisies!

inoa9

eeyaaayy!!!

inoa10

my eyes, as big as they get, loving the result!

As my hair was wet, and about to be blow-dried, I was getting excited as I saw my hair getting reddish. Happiness! The staff who blow dried my hair over at Regine’s was so good, that she shaped my hair oh so perfectly! But better than that, as my hair was shown as a finished product in front of the mirror, I saw intense, and vibrant color, and it was just so shiny! I felt just so beautiful with my lustrous locks! My hair looks softer, feels way softer, as the staff claimed that I didn’t even need my daily conditioner to keep my hair soft as INOA makes the hair soft because of its “beauty cream-like” formula.

See the more “red” hair that look like highlights? Those are my gray hair, covered, so they turn out lighter. More often than not, they look like highlights so I really don’t mind.

Happydoodles!

Well, how do you like it? How do you like it?

Fast forward two days, and I am still amazed on how soft my hair is, and how tangle-free it is! My hair’s still very lustrous, as I am taking an extra step by using hair products for color-treated hair. Wouldn’t hurt to preserve my beautiful hair. Haha!

me with Karina of Regine’s

Special thanks to L’Oreal Professionel and Karina Mantolino of Regine’s for letting me try INOA. I am really impressed with INOA, as it’s not too expensive anyway ( around P 1,500 for a dose, maybe for short hair, my hair required two doses ) for such beautiful color. I think I’d be going back to Regine’s as I love the very competent staff there.

I’m an INOA convert!

Yes, there are brighter days ahead of me, waking up to beautiful hair! Oh yay!

I love your bangs Sophieeeee! :) You’re so pretty! :) Btw, does the hair color obvious kahit indoors sya? Yung ibang hair color kasi pansin lang pag under the sun eh or kapag sa ilalim ng ilaw.

    Hi Bea!

It’s so much better than DIY hair coloring! Mine turned out mousy and this one’s really vivid and bright in color. This is permanent so Im guessing a few months :)
